Rod Stewart & Son Sean Stewart Plead Guilty in Battery Case
Rod Stewart and his son Sean Stewart have entered guilty pleas in their battery case from a New Year’s Eve 2019 altercation.
The father-son duo pleaded guilty to misdemeanor charges of simple battery. They were accused of being in a physical altercation with a security guard at the Breakers Hotel in Palm Beach, Florida.
The guard reportedly refused to allow them into a private New Year’s Eve party. The court documents say that Rod punched the guard in the rib cage with a closed fist and that Sean shoved him.

“No one was injured in the incident and a jury did not find Sir Rod Stewart guilty of the accusation,” Rod‘s attorney Guy Fronstin said in a statement to The Hollywood Reporter. “Instead, Sir Rod Stewart decided to enter a plea to avoid the inconvenience and unnecessary burden on the court and the public that a high profile proceeding would cause.”
Rod and Sean will not have to appear in court and there will be no trial. Neither will do jail time or be required to pay fines. There will also not be any probation time.
