The Weeknd holds his multiple trophies while in the press room at the 2016 Billboard Music Awards held at the T-Mobile Arena on Sunday (May 22) in Las Vegas.

The 26-year-old musician won eight total awards that evening, but only accepted two on stage.

The Weeknd won the first prize of the night, Top Hot 100 Artist of the year, and dedicated it to Prince.

“I want to dedicate this award to the late, great Prince. Rest in Peace,” The Weeknd said. “I was told not long ago that his last TV appearance he had given me an award. That was the greatest experience of my entire life and I love him so much.”

FYI: The Weeknd is wearing an Alpha Industries jacket.

Ariana Grande is all smiles after her medley performance at the 2016 Billboard Music Awards held at the T-Mobile Arena on Sunday (May 22) in Las Vegas.

The 23-year-old singer amazed with the first two singles off her new album, “Dangerous Woman” and “Into You”.

“There’s a lot of different flavors, a lot of different colors, a lot of different emotions,” Ariana shared on the carpet about her new album. “I worked on it through a course of a year and a half and of course, a lot happens in life and being able to document how you’re feeling through music and make it fun, and also make it emotional so that people can feel something when they listen…”

She added, “I love being able to create and share stories through music.”

Ashton Kutcher and Mila Kunis pose for a photo backstage at the 2016 Billboard Music Awards held at the T-Mobile Arena on Sunday (May 22) in Las Vegas.

The married couple both took to the stage separately to present during the show. Mila was joined by the cast of her upcoming movie Bad Moms.

Also in attendance at the event were Shark Tank stars Mark Cuban and Daymond John. In case you didn’t know, Ashton has made several guest appearances on the show as an investor!

Mark presented during the event with Miss America winner Betty Cantrell.

Lukas Graham takes the stage to perform his smash hit single “7 Years” at the 2016 Billboard Music Awards held at the T-Mobile Arena on Sunday (May 22) in Las Vegas.

The 27-year-old entertainer tweeted about his performance after he took the stage, noting how amazing it was to perform at the annual awards show.

“Wow. Performing at the @billboard awards was epic!,” he tweeted out to his followers. “From the billboards and back to the airport… Unreal days we’ve had!”

Troye Sivan gives his performance his all during the 2016 Billboard Music Awards held at the T-Mobile Arena on Sunday (May 22) in Las Vegas.

The 20-year-old singer amazed the crowd with his hit song “Youth” at the event, where he was named Kia’s “One To Watch” artist.

Madonna and Stevie Wonder perform a special tribute to the late artist Prince on stage at the 2016 Billboard Music Awards held at the T-Mobile Arena on Sunday (May 22) in Las Vegas.

First, Madonna stood on stage solo and sang a rendition of Sinead O’Connor‘s “Nothing Compares 2 U” to honor her late friend, who passed away at the age of 57 last month. She was joined by Stevie later during the set to perform Prince‘s smash hit song “Purple Rain.”
