Danielle Brooks looks incredible while walking the red carpet 2017 Film Independent Spirit Awards held at the Santa Monica Pier on Saturday afternoon (February 25) in Santa Monica, Calif.

The 27-year-old Orange Is the New Black actress put her slimmer figure on display in a daring jumpsuit that showed off a lot of cleavage.

Danielle is featured in recent Lane Bryant campaigns and she spoke to The Cut about body positivity.

“Women are seeing themselves and are feeling beautiful about their bodies because they’re having people who are bold enough to say that they’re fearless in their skin. It’s been cool to get their reaction and see women be proud to be in bathing suits and not be afraid of showing stretch marks or whatever,” she said.

The 35-year-old actress is nominated for Best Female Lead for her work in Loving and she was joined on the carpet by the film’s producer Colin Firth.

Ruth is nominated against 20th Century Women‘s Annette Bening, Elle‘s Isabelle Huppert, American Honey‘s Sasha Lane, and Jackie‘s Natalie Portman.

The comedians, who recently starred together on Broadway in the play Oh Hello, are hosting the awards show today!

“We want to figure out that perfect medium where we do jokes that are too inside for the viewing audience but either too biting or uncomfortable for the people in the room. We’re looking to alienate both the people in the room and the broader televised audience,” Nick told THR about their hosting strategy.

The annual show honors the best in independent film and the films leading the nominations are Moonlight and American Honey, each with six nominations.

Manchester By the Sea has five nominations and Jackie, Other People, and Free in Deed each earned four nods.

Ruth Negga and Mahershala Ali hit the carpet to help celebrate the nominees of the upcoming 2017 Independent Spirit Awards on Saturday (January 7) at BOA Steakhouse in West Hollywood, Calif.

Also in attendance were Ruth‘s fellow Best Female Lead nominees Isabelle Huppert and Annette Bening.

Moonlight‘s Mahershala Ali and Trevante Rhodes represented the cast of their film, which is set to receive the Robert Altman Award for outstanding ensemble cast.

Other attendees included Supporting Female nominee Molly Shannon, Male Lead nominee Viggo Mortensen, and Best Director nominees Pablo Larrain (Jackie), Jeff Nichols (Loving), and Barry Jenkins (Moonlight).

Also at the event were Sterling K. Brown, Riz Ahmed, Issa Rae, Adam Scott, Michael Shannon, Brian Tyree Henry, and director Ava DuVernay.
