Bill Hader is opening up about working on the fourth and final season of Barry, which aired earlier this year.
In an interview conducted before the SAG-AFTRA strike began, the 45-year-old Emmy-winning actor learned that he “can’t eat sweets” as much as he used to, and ended up gaining 25 pounds while working on the final season of the hit Max series.

The hit HBO comedy series starring Bill Hader is returning for its third season, and HBO just revealed all the details about what to expect.
Here’s a season synopsis: “Desperate to leave his violent past behind in favor of his newfound passion, Barry (Hader) is attempting to untangle himself from the world of contract killing and fully immerse himself in acting. But getting out is messy. While Barry has eliminated many of the external factors that pushed him towards violence, he soon discovers they weren’t the only forces at play. What is it about his own psyche that led him to become a killer in the first place? Season three finds Barry and the other characters trying to make the right choice.”

The hit series will return for a third season, HBO confirmed to Variety on Wednesday (April 10).
The series follows Barry (Bill Hader), a hitman who discovers a passion for acting when he comes to Los Angeles on a job.
The second season just premiered on March 31. This season, Barry is attempting to untangle himself from the world of contract killing and fully immerse himself in acting. But while Barry has eliminated many of the external factors that pushed him towards violence, he soon discovers they weren’t the only forces at play. What is it about his own psyche that led him to become a killer in the first place?
Stephen Root, Sarah Goldberg, Anthony Carrigan and Henry Winkler all star in the series.
