Bette Midler Shares Excitement For 'Hocus Pocus' Sequel & Dishes On If She'll Be Part of It

Bette Midler might just be a bigger fan of Hocus Pocus than all of the fans put together and she’s opening up about the possibility of getting back into character as Winifred Sanderson once more for the sequel plans.

Speaking with Entertainment Tonight, the 74-year-old actress excitedly shared that she “can’t wait to fly!”

While that’s not an official confirmation, it seems Bette is 100% on board for it.

“Oh, yeah,” she added. “We’re just talking logistics.”

Plans for a sequel to the popular 1993 film were announced last year just before Halloween, and Disney+ later revealed that Adam Shankman would be directing the pic, taking over the reigns from Kenny Ortega.

Earlier this summer, Sarah Jessica Parker, who played Sarah Sanderson in the original film, also opened up about being a part of the next movie. See what she said here…

Here’s what the original cast is up to now…

Bette Midler Says She Was Wrong for Mocking Melania Trump's Accent

Bette Midler is admitting that one of her tweets about Melania Trump and her speech at the Republican National Convention was wrong.

The legendary singer and actress live-tweeted the first night of the RNC earlier this week and she also had some commentary for Melanias speech on night two.

“Oh, God. She still can’t speak English,” Bette tweeted while Melania spoke from the Rose Garden at the White House.

Bette was criticized from people on both the left and the right for this tweet. The next day, she apologized for her comment.

“Well, all hell has broken loose because I said Melania ‘still can’t speak English’ last night. I was wrong to make fun of her accent. America is made up [of] people who speak with all kinds of accents, and they are all welcomed always,” she tweeted.

Bette celebrated some very happy news for her family earlier this year.

One of the most memorable moments of the night was when Kimberly Guilfoyle gave her speech, in which she appeared to be screaming at the camera.

“Kimberly, turn it down, your needle is in the red! It sounds like you’re f–king up a Juilliard audition monologue!” Bette tweeted. “#KimberlyGuilfoyle is a real yeller. No wonder Don Jr. is so into her. She makes him feel like a kid again!”
