Blanco Brown is in critical care.
The 35-year-old “The Git Up” Grammy Award nominee was involved in a head-on collision on Monday night (August 31) near his home in Atlanta, Georgia.
He suffered “significant injuries and was taken to a local hospital” and “underwent a 12-hour surgery and he is currently in the ICU…expected to undergo additional surgeries,” ET Canada reported on Thursday (September 3).
“Blanco, his family and his friends ask for your prayers during this time,” his record label BMG Music Group said in a statement.
Many fans of the star have been spreading their prayers and hopes for the star’s full recovery on social media: “Sending out love and prayers to @BBRMusicGroup recording artist @blancobrown on the heels of his head on collision Monday night, 12 hour surgery, and more surgeries to follow. Get your rest bud! You’ll be back to doing that #GitUp Challenge in no time! ❤️,” wrote Nashville DJ Shawn Parr.
