Chet Hanks is opening up about his former drug use in a series of Instagram videos posted online this week.
The 25-year-old rapper and son of Tom Hanks, who once went by Chet Haze, is now clean after a stint in rehab.
“I know, like, my name’s been in the media about me like going missing or getting kidnapped or something. I just want to let you all know, I’ve been in rehab … and I’m doing pretty damn good,” Chet said.
“A couple months ago I was selling coke, doing coke until I couldn’t even snort it up my nose anymore because it was so clogged,” Chet added in another clip. “I even smoked crack. If I can change, you can change. There is a solution.”
“You know, at the end of the day, all that stupid … I was doing, that’s not who I am, that’s not who I want to be,” Chet said. “And it’s been a long journey for me discovering who I am because of all the pressures that I’ve dealt with in my life, you know, being the son of my dad and everything, and just trying to find where I fit in.”
