Derek Klena looks so handsome while preparing for his TodayTix Presents concert on Tuesday night (January 15) at the Cafe Carlyle in New York City.

The 27-year-old Broadway actor performed an intimate show and shared songs that tell stories of how he got to where he is today as a performer.

Derek recently originated the role of Dmitry in Anastasia and he starred in the Broadway-bound Jagged Little Pill during its Cambridge run last year.

Some of the songs that Derek performed at his concert included “My Petersburg” from Anastasia, “Dancing Through Life” from Wicked,” and “Always Remember Us This Way” from A Star Is Born.

Derek‘s friend Kathryn Gallagher is performing in the next TodayTix Presents concert on January 28. Tickets are on sale on the TodayTix app!

The new musical Jagged Little Pill, featuring the music of Alanis Morissette, just wrapped its pre-Broadway run in Massachusetts and it broke records!

The show features a completely new story from Diablo Cody and inspired by Alanis‘ music. The show starred Elizabeth Stanley, Sean Allan Krill, Derek Klena, Celia Gooding, Lauren Patten, and Kathryn Gallagher.

The show ran for 79 sold-out performances at American Repertory Theater’s Loeb Drama Center in Cambridge, the longest run of any A.R.T. production.

Fans from all 50 states and 26 countries traveled to see the show and the audiences gave a standing ovation every single performance for Lauren‘s rendition of “You Oughta Know.”

Earlier that night, the entire cast took their opening night bows on stage at the Broadhurst Theater. Rebel Wilson walks the carpet while attending the opening night performance of Broadway’s Holiday Inn on Thursday night (October 6) at Studio 54 in New York City.

Also in attendance were Megan Hilty and her husband Brian Gallagher, Laura Osnes, Andy Karl, The Good Wife‘s Josh Charles and his wife Sophie Flack, Spring Awakening‘s Kathryn Gallagher, and future Anastasia the Musical stars Christy Altomare and Derek Klena.

The show’s stars Corbin Bleu, Bryce Pinkham, and Megan Sikora posed for photos at the party following the performance.

Rebel is set to be honored at the 5th Annual Australians in Film Awards on October 19 in Los Angeles.

A trailer for the new Broadway musical Anastasia has been released and it’s getting us so excited for the show to open next year!

The musical will be a fresh take on the classic animated film, which tells the story of a “brave young woman attempting to discover the mystery of her past while finding a place for herself in the rapidly changing world of a new century.”

The musical will feature such songs as “Journey to the Past” and “Once Upon a December,” along with new music written just for the stage.

Christy Altomare is playing the title role while Derek Klena while be taking on her love interest, Dmitry.
