Lots of A-List Celebs Bought Out Performances of Broadway's 'Ain't No Mo,' Helping the Struggling Play Extend Its Run After Announcing Abrupt Closing

The Broadway play Ain’t No Mo’ announced an abrupt closing notice last week, but it will get another week of life thanks to the support of several A-List celebs.

The new show, by playwright Jordan E. Cooper, celebrated its opening night performance just a couple weeks ago, but sadly sales have been low, forcing the show to close earlier than expected.

Ain’t No Mo’ dares to ask the incendiary question, “What if the U.S. government attempted to solve racism … by offering Black Americans one-way plane tickets to Africa?”

Lee Daniels is the lead producer on the play, which made history with Jordan becoming the youngest Black American playwright ever on Broadway.

Several A-List stars have bought out performances to show their support for the struggling show and allow new audiences to experience the play. The show is now running through December 23 and you can get tickets for the final performances on Telecharge.com.

The 54-year-old actor was joined at the event by his wife, Jada Pinkett Smith, and children, Trey, Jaden and Willow.

This marks Will‘s first public appearance since he slapped Chris Rock at the 2022 Oscars in March. He recently opened up about what he was going through on that night.

Tiffany Haddish and Ben‘s wife, Laura Prepon, were also there to support.

Will Smith & Jada Pinkett Smith Make Rare Appearance in Malibu Months After Oscars Slap

Will Smith is stepping out for a bite to eat with wife Jada Pinkett Smith.

For their outing, Will sported an all navy outfit and baseball hat while Jada wore a black blouse with a plaid shirt tied around her waist.

Will has remained primarily out of the spotlight since he slapped Chris Rock across the face on stage at the 2022 Oscars back in March.

After remaining quiet for months, Will broke his silence about the situation in a video posted last month, in which he apologized for his behavior and revealed whether Jada had instructed him to do something. He also addressed where he stands with Chris today.

Vivica A. Fox Calls Out Jada Pinkett Smith's Lack of 'Accountability' After Oscars Slap

Vivica A. Fox is getting emotional while discussing Jada Pinkett Smith‘s recent comments about husband Will Smith slapping Chris Rock at the 2022 Oscars.

If you don’t remember, on Oscars night back in March, Chris made a joke about Jada‘s bald head. Moments later, Will went on stage and slapped Chris and told him, “Keep my wife’s name out your f–king mouth.”

On Wednesday (June 1), Jada finally addressed the situation on the latest episode of her Red Table Talk.

“Now about Oscar night, my deepest hope is that these two intelligent, capable men have an opportunity to heal, talk this out and reconcile,” Jada said. “The state of the world today, we need them both. And we all actually need one another more than ever.”

“Until then, Will and I are continuing to do what we have done for the last 28 years, and that’s keep figuring out this thing called life together. Thank you for listening,” she added.

Then on Thursday (June 2), Vivica – who has worked with both Jada and Will in the past – appeared as the guest co-host on The Wendy Williams Show, where she held back tears talking about the situation, and called out Jada for taking “no accountability.”
