The trailer has been released for Jake Gyllenhaal‘s upcoming movie The Covenant!

The upcoming film, directed by Guy Ritchie, follows US Army Sergeant John Kinley (Gyllenhaal) and Afghan interpreter Ahmed (Dar Salim). After an ambush, Ahmed goes to Herculean lengths to save Kinley’s life. When Kinley learns that Ahmed and his family were not given safe passage to America as promised, he must repay his debt by returning to the war zone to retrieve them before the Taliban hunts them down first.

The movie also stars Antony Starr, Alexander Ludwig, Bobby Schofield, Emily Beecham, and Jonny Lee Miller.

The Covenant will be released in theaters by MGM and STXfilms on April 21.

Jake Gyllenhaal has started filming his upcoming Apple TV+ limited series.

The 42-year-old actor filmed a few scenes for his upcoming series Presumed Series in a suburban neighborhood on Wednesday (February 1) in Los Angeles.

For his day of filming, Jake wore a brown blazer over a gray shirt paired with jeans.

Presumed Innocent “tells the story of a horrific murder that upends the Chicago Prosecuting Attorneys’ office when one of its own is suspected of the crime, and explores obsession, sex, politics and the power and limits of love, as the accused fights to hold his family and marriage together,” according to Variety.

Jake will play Rusty Sabich, “the fervent prosecutor accused of killing his close colleague after evidence begins to point in his direction.”

Last month, it was announced that Ruth Negga had also been cast in the series, and she will be playing “Rusty’s wife, Barbara Sabich. Barbara is an artist, gallerist and mother whose life is upended when her husband is accused of murdering his mistress. She fights for her family as she tends to her broken heart and broken marriage, and contends with her husband’s highly publicized trial.”

Disney+ has announced Strange World is heading to the streaming service beginning December 23!

The movie stars the voices of Jake Gyllenhaal, Dennis Quaid, Jaboukie Young-White, Gabrielle Union, and Lucy Liu.

The animated film is about a legendary family of explorers, the Clades, as they attempt to navigate an uncharted, treacherous land alongside a motley crew.

Jake Gyllenhaal is staying in shape this holiday season!

The 41-year-old actor was seen looking buff in a form-fitting top after a workout on Wednesday morning (December 14) in Los Angeles.

The sighting comes days after it was announced that Jake is in negotiations to star in the upcoming Apple TV+ limited series Presumed Innocent.

Variety reports that the series “tells the story of a horrific murder that upends the Chicago Prosecuting Attorneys’ office when one of its own is suspected of the crime, and explores obsession, sex, politics and the power and limits of love, as the accused fights to hold his family and marriage together.”

Jake “will play Rusty Sabich, the fervent prosecutor accused of killing his close colleague after evidence begins to point in his direction.”

The series is from David E. Kelley, who brought us shows like Ally McBeal, The Practice, The Undoing, and The Lincoln Lawyer, among many others.

Jake Gyllenhaal and girlfriend Jeanne Cadieu are enjoying a rare day out together!

The 41-year-old Love & Other Drugs actor and the 26-year-old model held hands while going for a walk around New York City on Wednesday afternoon (November 23).

For their outing, Jake sported a black leather jacket and jeans while Jeanne bundled up in a tan shearling coat over a pair of overalls.

Jeanne and Jake have been linked since late 2018 but they have remained very private over the years. He recently made some rare comments about her and dished on their “wonderful” relationship. Be sure to check out that quote if you missed it.
