HBO Debuts Trailer for New Series 'The Outsider,' Starring Jason Bateman!

Jason Bateman is continuing his successful run on television with a new series titled The Outsider and HBO just debuted the official trailer!

The 50-year-old actor most recently starred on the Netflix series Ozark and he also was part of the ensemble cast of Arrested Development.

Now, Jason has teamed up with Ben Mendelsohn and Cynthia Erivo for the new HBO series.

The 10-episode series follows police detective Ralph Anderson (Mendelsohn), as he sets out to investigate the mutilated body of 11-year-old Frankie Peterson found in the Georgia woods. The mysterious circumstances surrounding this horrifying crime leads Ralph, still grieving the recent death of his own son, to bring in unorthodox private investigator Holly Gibney (Erivo), whose uncanny abilities he hopes will help explain the unexplainable.

The Morning Show actress was spotted chatting with Jimmy Kimmel, Jason Bateman and Will Speck outside the San Vincente Bungalows on Saturday night (November 30) while waiting for their rides in West Hollywood, Calif.

Jennifer was seen giving friendly hugs and kisses to everyone as they waited outside after the meal.

A few days before, Jennifer enjoyed an epic, star-filled Friendsgiving with ex Justin Theroux, Courteney Cox, Will Arnett and many more. Jason and Jimmy were also in attendance at the fun event!

Justin Theroux Was at Jennifer Aniston's Friendsgiving This Year!

It looks like Justin Theroux and Jennifer Aniston are closer than we realized!

The divorced couple reunited at Jennifer‘s Friendsgiving feast on Wednesday (November 27) and Justin took to Instagram to share some fun content from the party.

Jennifer invited her best friends to the event, including Justin, Courteney Cox, Jason Bateman and wife Amanda Anka, Jimmy Kimmel and wife Molly McNearney, Will Arnett, and more.

At one point during the meal, Justin started filming Courteney while she gave a toast to Jen and she was not happy about it.

Justin, please stop filming me,” Courteney said. Justin replied, “I’m supposed to be recording the toasts!” But things changed and in the next clip he can be heard saying, “Now she wants me to film her.”

Jennifer and Justin got married in 2015 and they announced their separation in February 2018.

Jason Bateman is Murder Suspect in HBO's 'The Outsider' - Watch the Trailer

Jason Bateman has found himself in the middle of a murder investigation in The Outsider.

HBO has released the first trailer for their upcoming thriller miniseries.

Based on Stephen King’s bestselling novel of the same name, The Outsider begins with a seemingly straightforward investigation into the gruesome murder of a young boy. But when an insidious supernatural force edges its way into the case, it leads a seasoned cop and an unorthodox investigator to question everything they believe in.

The series also stars Ben Mendelsohn, Cynthia Erivo, Bill Camp, Mare Winningham, Paddy Considine, and Marc Menchaca.

The Outsider will premiere on HBO on January 12, 2020.

Jason Bateman & Ryan Reynolds Team Up for 'Clue' Remake (Report)

Jason Bateman is in early talks to direct and star in a live adaptation of the Clue movie!

In addition, Ryan Reynolds is also in talks to star in the film.

The first Clue movie was released in 1985 and quickly became a cult classic film. It’s unclear if this would be a remake, or if there would be an entirely new plot for this upcoming film.

It’s being reported by Deadline that Ryan and Jason will also develop the script together.

No further casting details have been revealed at this time.

Jason Bateman Wins Best Directing for 'Ozark' at Emmys 2019 (Video)

Jason Bateman takes home the award for Outstanding Directing for a Drama Series at the 2019 Emmy Awards!

The 50-year-old actor won for his work on the Netflix series Ozark (Episode: “Reparations”) at the event held on Sunday (September 22) at the Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles.

Ozark beat out Game of Thrones, Killing Eve, Succession, and The Handmaid’s Tale.

“Wow,” Jason said during his speech, thanking the cast, crew, and his family. “That is something.”

The award marks Jason‘s first win and second nomination. He also received a nomination for Outstanding Lead Actor in a Drama Series for his role as Martin “Marty” Byrde.

His co-star Julia Garner also won for Best Supporting Actress in a Drama Series.

'Ozark' Stars Jason Bateman, Laura Linney, & Julia Garner Arrive at Emmy Awards 2019!

The cast of Ozark has arrived at the 2019 Emmy Awards on Sunday (September 22) at the Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles.

Jason Bateman, Laura Linney, and Julia Garner are all nominated this evening for their performances on the show, which is up for Outstanding Drama Series.

Jason is nominated for Outstanding Lead Actor in a Drama Series, Laura is up for Outstanding Lead Actress in a Drama Series, and Julia has a nom for Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Drama Series.

Joining Jason at the event was his wife Amanda Anka.

FYI: Jason is wearing Dior Men with an IWC watch. Laura is wearing a custom Derek Lam look. Julia is wearing a Cong Tri dress, Giuseppe Zanotti shoes, and Lisa Eisner jewelry.
