Summer Glau, Nathan Fillion, Adam Baldwin, and Alan Tudyk are all smiles as they reunite for a Firefly panel at Comic-Con 2012 held at the San Diego Convention Center on Friday (July 13) in San Diego, Calif.

The short-lived sci-fi show’s creator Joss Whedon also participated in the panel, as did Sean Maher.

When asked about how the series would have ended had it not been cut short, Joss revealed, “I don’t think I would have killed anybody…We would have learned about the Blue Sun conspiracy, Inara (Morena Baccarin) and Shepherd Book (Ron Glass).”

All the fans in the room went into a tizzy over director Joss Whedon, Samuel L. Jackson (Nick Fury), Scarlett Johansson (Black Widow), Chris Hemsworth (Thor), Chris Evans (Captain America), Robert Downey, Jr. (Iron Man), Jeremy Renner (Hawkeye), Mark Ruffalo (The Hulk), and Clark Gregg (Agent Phil Coulson).

FYI: Chris is wearing a pair of Levi’s Slim Straight 514 denim in Tazer Black.

Whedonites, rejoice: Entertainment Weekly reports that Joss Whedon will be directing an upcoming episode of Glee.

The Buffy master directed the now-famous “Once More, With Feeling” Buffy ep and Dr. Horrible’s Sing-Along Blog…and he loves Glee, too!

Also joining the Gleeks on set is Jonathan Groff, Lea Michele‘s co-star in Spring Awakening. He’ll be playing the lead male of Vocal Adrenaline – the ultimate group that Shuester and the kids want to beat – and Rachel’s love interest. “He’s a male diva,” Glee co-creator Ryan Murphy says. “A miva.”
