The 57-year-old actress was joined at the event by executive producer John Legend, stars of the show Jurnee Smollett-Bell, Aldis Hodge, Christopher Meloni, James Lafferty, Adina Porter, P.J. Marshall, Amirah Vann, Christopher Backus, Jessica De Gouw, and director Anthony Hemingway.

Michael Ealy and Isaiah Washington also came out to show their support for the forthcoming series about a group of slaves planning their escape from a Georgia plantation.
