The new musical & Juliet is one of the biggest hits of the 2022-23 Broadway season and we’re catching up with some of the stars!

& Juliet is a multi-generational story of self-discovery, empowerment and love, imagining what would happen next if Juliet hadn’t ended it all over Romeo, and got a second chance at life and love – on her terms. The musical uses songs from Max Martin‘s catalog, including “Since U Been Gone,” “Roar,” “Baby One More Time,” “Larger Than Life,” “That’s The Way It Is,” “Can’t Stop the Feeling,” and many more.

First up, Justin David Sullivan is making their Broadway debut as May and we chatted with them to learn 10 Fun Facts that fans likely don’t know already.

1. I was homeschooled from preschool to eighth grade and started going to public school as a freshman in high school like a real life Cady Heron.
2. I’m half Korean and half Mexican.
3. I’m a ~June~ Gemini – yay pride month!!
4. I won a spelling bee in 2nd grade – the winning word was photosynthesis.
5. I’ve never seen a horror film before (I hate scary things).

The highly anticipated musical & Juliet is officially coming to Broadway this fall and the dates have finally been announced!

The musical is currently playing a pre-Broadway engagement in Toronto and the full cast will be transferring to the New York production later this year. The show is also running in London, where it has been a smash success.

And Juliet features an original book by Schitt’s Creek writer David West Read and music from legendary songwriter and producer Max Martin. The musical flips the script on the greatest love story ever told, imagining what would happen next if Juliet hadn’t ended it all over Romeo, and got a second chance at life and love – on her terms. Juliet’s new story bursts to life through a playlist of pop anthems as iconic as her name, all written by Martin and his collaborators, including “Since U Been Gone,” “Roar,” “Baby One More Time,” “Larger Than Life,” “That’s The Way It Is,” “Can’t Stop the Feeling,” and many more.
