Cheryl Burke took to social media to respond to news of her ex Matthew Lawrence moving on after getting divorced last year.

The 42-year-old Boy Meets World star confirmed his new relationship with Rozonda “Chilli” Thomas in an Instagram video on New Year’s Eve.

In a TikTok on January 2, Cheryl lip-synced to an audio that says, “So, something not that chill happened last night.”

Also, in an Instagram story, Cheryl wrote, “That was fast…”

Cheryl filed for divorce in February 2022 after three years of marriage and was finalized in September 2022.

In September, the 38-year-old DWTS pro said she was “choosing not to date” while she was “grieving” the end of her marriage. “I think it’s very important for me to establish that relationship with myself so that I don’t continue on that same pattern of men and relationships,” Cheryl said in an interview.

Rozonda “Chilli” Thomas and Matthew Lawrence are officially an item.

The 51-year-old TLC singer took to Instagram with the 42-year-old Boy Meets World actor to ring in the New Year together.

The pair was first spotted together on a beach in Hawaii in August 2022.

The 38-year-old DWTS pro said she is now “choosing not to date” while she is “grieving” the end of her marriage to the 42-year-old Boy Meets World alum.

“It’s just me and my Frenchie,” Cheryl told Yahoo Life. “I’ve been sober now for four years, and with that comes self-reflecting. I’m like a sponge and I’m just learning to love myself and really learning to be alone instead of lonely. In the comments section of the video, fans speculated about which ex she might be talking about, with Matthew Lawrence being a top guess.

Cheryl filed for divorce back on February 18, stating the couple’s official date of separation as January 7, 2022. Both Cheryl and Matt cited irreconcilable divorces as the cause for their split.

The couple first met in 2006 when Matt‘s older brother, Joey Lawrence, had been a contestant on DWTS. They started dating then, but split up just a year later.

People reports that Cheryl filed for divorce from Matt, 42, just last week at a Los Angeles courthouse.

Cheryl listed the couple’s date of separation is listed as January 7 and cited irreconcilable differences as the reason for the split. The papers also indicate that the pair have a prenuptial agreement in place.
