Lily Collins and Nicholas Hoult walk the red carpet together at the UK premiere of their new movie Tolkien on Monday (April 29) at the Curzon Mayfair in London, England.

The actors were joined at the event by co-stars Tom Glynn-Carney, Anthony Boyle, and Patrick Gibson.

Tolkien, in theaters May 10, explores the formative years of the renowned author’s life as he finds friendship, courage and inspiration among a fellow group of writers and artists at school. Their brotherhood strengthens as they grow up and weather love and loss together, including Tolkien’s tumultuous courtship of his beloved Edith Bratt, until the outbreak of the First World War which threatens to tear their fellowship apart. All of these experiences would later inspire Tolkien to write his famous Middle-earth novels.

Earlier in the day, Lily and Nicholas were seen promoting the film at the BBC Radio studio.

Nicholas Hoult poses on the red carpet while attending the Tolkien panel at 2019 WonderCon on Friday (March 29) in Anaheim, Calif.

The 29-year-old actor, who plays the role of “The Lord of the Rings” author J.R.R. Tolkien in the new biopic, was joined by co-stars Tom Glynn-Carney, Anthony Boyle, and Patrick Gibson.

Nicholas opened up about the role at the panel.

“He was orphaned at such a young age, and finding these guys and that relationship, somewhere that he could flourish and feel safe artistically, and that gave him a place in the world even though he wasn’t necessarily from the same privileged background…” he said (via IGN). “That’s what’s so important, I think the takeaway is the impact that can you have, that these guys had on Tolkien’s life and inspiration.”

Daniel Kaluuya, Rosamund Pike, and Harris Dickinson walk the carpet at the BFI IWC Schaffhausen Gala Dinner on Tuesday (October 9) at the Electric Light Station in London, England.

More British stars who stepped out for the event included Ruth Wilson, Game of Thrones‘ Natalie Dormer and Isaac Hempstead Wright, The OA‘s Patrick Gibson, The Brothers Grimsby‘s Tamsin Egerton, and Poldark‘s Josh Whitehouse.

The event was held to kick off the BFI London Film Festival, which will be running from October 10 through October 21.

The festival opens with the premiere of the upcoming movie Widows.

Damian Lewis is dapper in a green suit while hitting the red carpet with his wife Helen McCrory by his side at the 2018 BRIT Awards held at The O2 Arena on Wednesday (February 21) in London, England.

The 47-year-old actor and the 49-year-old actress were joined at the event by Noomi Rapace, The OA’s Patrick Gibson and host of the award ceremony Jack Whitehall.

Charlie Heaton flashes a smirk as he arrives at the GQ’s 2018 Best Dressed Man dinner on Saturday night (January 13) in Milan, Italy.

The 23-year-old Stranger Things actor looked very dapper in a navy striped suit with a red, white, and blue tie for the event held during Milan’s Men’s Fashion Week.

Joining Charlie at the event was 22-year-old Irish actor Patrick Gibson who kept things cool in a black bomber jacket and white T-shirt.

Power Rangers star RJ Cyler leads the pack in Interview Magazine‘s special Youth in Revolt June/July issue.

The 22-year-old actor joined nine other up-and-coming stars and industry disrupters, including Eiza Gonzalez, Harris Dickinson and Patrick Gibson.

Here’s what they had to share with the mag:

RJ on the importance of family: “My mama and my papa are my babies. At a certain age, you switch places with your parents. They’ve become so spoiled, goodness gracious. Everybody’s like, ‘You’ve
got to stop giving them stuff.’ But how do I stop? They’re my parents!”

Eiza on her father’s passing: “When my father passed away, I learned to be unattached to physical things. At a very young age, I was able to roam the world and be emotionally connected, but physically disconnected.”

Harris on becoming an actor: “I always wanted to be a different person for the day. Every time I went to the cinema or to the theater, I would come out with this overwhelming sense of joy. At about 16, I put all my energy into it.”

Other rising stars profiled included Damson Idris, Hannah Gross, Letitia Wright, Mamoudou Athie, Mikey Madison and Odessa Young.

Just one day after kicking off the month at the 2017 Met Gala, the 31-year-old actress and the 34-year-old The Crown star stepped out to attend Burberry‘s launch of the DK88 Bag Collection on Tuesday evening (May 2) in New York City.

Also in attendance was Ellie Goulding, Jourdan Dunn, Christine and the Queens, Olivia Palermo, Peyton List, Patrick Gibson, Jessica Hart, Duckie Thot, Leigh Lezark, and Derek Blasberg at the event held at the brand’s Spring Street store, which has been transformed with bursts of colour, and includes a set of installations and interactive displays, designed to reflect the new bag’s painterly colour palette.

Serena Williams was also in attendance at the launch, showing off her baby bump.
