Pia Toscano and longtime love Jimmy R.O. Smith have officially tied the knot!

The 28-year-old singer and her dancer love got married on Saturday (January 7) in New York City, Pia‘s reps confirmed to JustJared.com.

“Jimmy & I got married today January 7th at Angel Orensanz in Manhattan. We were surrounded by so much love, our family, friends & a surprising but beautiful winter wonderland. I have never been so happy in my life,” Pia said in a statement.

Jimmy popped the question to Pia around this time last year.

Pia first rose to fame as a finalist on season 10 of American Idol – before shockingly being voted off the show far too soon.

Since then, Pia has has continue with her music career recently released her new EP Belong last month.

The Rocky Horror Picture Show co-stars were joined by their siblings Madison Reed and Zane Carney at the event on Monday (December 19) at a private residence in Beverly Hills, Calif.

The 28-year-old songstress and former American Idol finalist named the EP after the album’s title track, calling it her “most personal record I have ever done to date.”

“I wrote this song with Bryan Ellis at the most vulnerable & uncertain time of my life,” Pia shared on Instagram. “For many years I would hide my insecurities & fears behind a smile while it was swallowing me up on the inside.”

“But a year ago I decided that I was no longer going to let that fear and self doubt run my life & from that moment on even though I do have my moments of weakness I run towards the things that scare me instead of running away,” she went on. “I am good enough, I am perfectly imperfect & that’s okay. #Sweetps I hope “Belong” can make you see your beauty & goodness & have the courage to face all of your greatest fears!”

Pia Toscano is set to join some of Broadway’s biggest stars in the upcoming production of For the Record inspired by Martin Scorsese films.

The former American Idol contestant will appear alongside Tony winner John Lloyd Young, Tony nominee Carmen Cusack, Grammy nominee B. Slade, and more. The production will run at Los Angeles’ Wallis Annenberg Center for the Performing Arts from September 21 through October 16.

For The Record: Scorsese – American Crime Requiem will “center on Marty’s Place – a four-tier venue rising from the orchestra pit to the light grid – and take audiences from a Lower East Side dive bar to an Italian restaurant, a Las Vegas casino and a classic rock concert stage,” according to THR.

Some of the films highlighted in the show will be GoodFellas, Casino, The Departed, The Wolf of Wall Street and more.

Pia Toscano belts her heart out in the brand new music video for her single “You’ll Be King”!

The 27-year-old songstress and former American Idol finalist shot the video, which was directed by Robert Styles, in a desert with the hot shirtless actor Cody Callahan.

“The concept of this video was to really portray and tell the story behind this toxic, dysfunctional relationship that I was once in,” Pia told Billboard. “I was in the most vulnerable and insecure place in my life when I wrote this song and I needed to go back to that place and really tap into those emotions for this video.”

Pia Toscano belts out a song in an amazing moment at the American Idol series finale on Thursday (April 7) at the Dolby Theatre in Hollywood.

The 27-year-old singer, who was eliminated far too early on her season, closed a medley of performances with Celine Dion‘s “All By Myself” and wowed everyone.

The medley started with former judge Kara DioGuardi singing Pink‘s “Sober” and continued with Colton Dixon singing his song “Through All Of It,” and Jordin Sparks performing her song “No Air” with Justin Guarini.

Kimberley Locke then sang her song “Eighth World Wonder” and Tamyra Gray from season one sang Little Big Town‘s “Girl Crush.” Next up was Alison Iraheta with Meghan Trainor‘s “No” followed by Pia‘s performance.

Fantasia Barrino and LaToya London walk the carpet at the series finale of American Idol on Thursday (April 7) at the Dolby Theatre in Hollywood.

The ladies were two-thirds of what was referred as the “Three Divas” during season three. Jennifer Hudson was the other diva!

The three divas will be reuniting in a pre-taped performance as Jennifer is currently starring on Broadway in The Color Purple through May 8.

Other former Idols walking the carpet were Pia Toscano, Diana DeGarmo, and Melinda Doolittle.
