The new series will air on Thursday nights in the slot vacated by Scandal until it debuts its new season in the winter.

ABC has announced that it will not use the #TGIT tagline until Thursday nights have the Shonda Rhimes lineup of Grey’s Anatomy, Scandal, and How to Get Away with Murder back together.

“It did feel like it would make more sense to wait to bring #TGIT back,” ABC Entertainment president Channing Dungey told TV Line.

Channing Tatum is dapper in suit while hitting the red carpet at the premiere of his latest film The Hateful Eight on Monday (December 14) in New York City.

The 35-year-old actor was joined at the event by his co-star Bruce Dern, as well as Gabourey Sidibe, Sam Rockwell, Piper Perabo, Alan Cumming, Christian Slater, Nico Tortorella, Zachary Levi, Kevin Corrigan, Paul Haggis and Alex Lundqvist, who all came out to show their support.

The Hateful Eight, which is hitting theaters on Christmas Day, will be released with two versions. One was shot on 70 mm film format, has an overture and an intermission, and is displayed exactly how Quentin Tarantino originally intended for its 3 hour 2 minute running time. Coyote Ugly is celebrating its 15th anniversary and the cast and crew are opening up about the cult favorite film to mark the occasion.

Director David McNally has revealed that Piper Perabo wasn’t the original actress in mind for the lead role of Violet. The casting team actually was seeking out several pop stars for the part!

Jessica Simpson was a “contender” and Jewel was also seen for the role.

“We did our due diligence and saw everybody,” David told THR. “Toward the end of the process, Piper walked in… She was actually from New Jersey and seemed to get it.” When “everyone loved” Piper‘s screen test, “that was the end of that.”

It was also revealed in the THR piece that LeAnn Rimes, whose voice replaced Piper‘s singing voice, was a last-minute addition to the team and the actress originally had recorded all of her own vocals.

“[McNally] said, ‘We’re going to dub the songs,’ and I was like, ‘Uh, OK.’ What can I say? I’m like 21. What am I going to say, no?” Piper said, adding that the decision was “disappointing.”

Olivier Martinez is dapper as he suits up to attend the 2015 MIPTV Opening Party held at the Hotel Martinez on Monday (April 13) in Cannes, France.

The 49-year-old actor was joined at the event by his Texas Rising co-stars Ray Liotta and Bill Paxton, Mena Suvari, Piper Perabo and her husband Stephen Kay.

Covert Affairs has sadly been canceled by the USA Network after five seasons on the air.

The spy drama starred Piper Perabo, Christopher Gorham, and Peter Gallagher. Despite a strong fan base, the diminishing ratings for the series were the deciding factor for the cancellation, according to THR.

Covert Affairs received 5 million viewers in its prime while the recent fifth season only averaged 1.5 million viewers.

“We want the show to continue. We’re very proud of this finale. So at least we feel if we didn’t come back, we’d be going out on a high note,” executive producer Chris Ord told TV Line last month after the explosive finale that ended with some cliffhangers.

The 36-year-old pregnant actress stepped out earlier in the day wearing a form-fitting dress showing off her baby bump in full view.

Also in attendance at the gala were Covert Affairs actress Piper Perabo and model Angela Lindvall.

Proceeds from the Gala will go to support the Hammer’s dynamic and nationally acclaimed exhibitions and public programs.
