Later that night, the tennis stars stopped by the Citi Taste of Tennis Gala where Serena showed off her culinary skills while cooking on stage with Chef Cedric Tovar.

Leonardo DiCaprio is dapper in a suit while hitting the red carpet at the 2018 Good Money Gala held at the Theater Carre on Thursday (February 15) in Amsterdam, Netherlands.

The 43-year-old actor was joined by Rafael Nadal and his girlfriend Xisca Perello at the event celebrating the charitable givings of the Netherlands’ national Postcode Lottery, the biggest charity lottery in the Netherlands.

Leo ended up taking the stage to reflect on how the lottery had helped with his pet cause, climate change.

“If we have more innovators like the Postcode Lottery, who provide a lot of money with which we can make a real, tangible difference, then we have a chance that we can turn the tide and protect this beautiful planet,” Leonardo told the crowd (via Daily Mail).

Rafael Nadal has just won the 2017 US Open tennis competition after defeating Kevin Anderson from South Africa 6-3, 6-3, 6-4 on Sunday (September 10) in New York City.

This win marks the 16th major and third US Open title for the 31-year-old tennis superstar.

The day before, Sloane Stephens won the women’s division of the US Open in her first major win in the sport.

The last time Rafael won the US Open was back in 2013.

Back when Rafael Nadal was new on the tennis scene, he was known for wearing long shorts during his matches, but his shorts have been getting shorter over the years!

The 31-year-old tennis player now shows off his legs often with short shorts on the tennis court.

“They were very comfortable, but not for my age. When I was 18, 19, 20, they were OK,” Rafael told InStyle of his capri-style shorts.

“I decided to change up the style in 2009. You never know what can happen in the future, but playing again with those long pants is not going to happen. I’m too old for that,” he added.

With just days left to go before the start of the U.S. Open, Rafael Nadal and Venus Williams flash a smile together while attending the 2017 Lotte New York Palace Invitational at Lotte New York Palace on Thursday (August 24) in New York City.

The 30-year-old tennis pro hit the court opposite Venus, 37, for a fun-spirited round of Badminton, where Venus was crowned the winner.

“This is the best warm-up you can possibly do for the U.S. Open,” Venus expressed at the event (via Vogue). “Last year we played virtual tennis here, and I was able to hone my mental game. Today, with the badminton, it’s a little eccentric, but it’s going to make sure I improvise on the court.”

“Honestly, the U.S. Open is around the corner and that’s my main focus,” Venus added about her state of mind. “With the end of the season around the corner, too, I want to finish strong. Who doesn’t want to win? It’s very addictive. My whole goal is to win every match I play.”

Rafael Nadal is back on top!

The 30-year-old tennis pro has officially replaced Andy Murray as world number one on Monday – the first time since July 2014 he has held top spot.

“Being No 1 after all the things that I have been going through the last couple of years is something unbelievable, so (it) is, for me, an amazing achievement to be back to that position after three years,” Rafael said in a statement (via BBC).

Rafael has claimed four titles on tour this season, winning 49 matches and losing nine in a stellar 2017.
