Tayla Parx and Shirlene Quigley got engaged!

The 27-year-old “Thank U, Next” singer-songwriter and the 36-year-old dancer for acts like Lizzo and Beyonce confirmed the happy news on Instagram on Thursday (January 14).

“From the first week we met, I knew you would be in my life forever 😭💕🌷💍 I am a believer, I believe in God, in fairytale love stories. Honoring my values, finding pure love, and someone who would pursue my heart, was something I prayed for daily. To be transparent, as a believer, I struggled for years being attracted to both men and women. I told myself, for years it was something I wouldn’t do again (date a woman). Being judged doesn’t feel good, & that scared me. Until I met someone who showed me what love looked and felt like,” Shirlene wrote.

“She loved that I love Jesus and she loves Him too. Someone who not only I thought was super beautiful from outside, but also the inside. Her eyes light my heart, and laugh fills me with more joy, her generosity with her time is unmatched and her constant pursuit of my heart, has made me feel like such a queen. There is good news in the latest update on dancer Shirlene Quigley – she has been found alive and is currently recovering in a New Jersey hospital.

Rihanna‘s backup dancer was reported missing on Monday after her friends and family were unable to locate her. The singer put out a plea to her fans on Instagram to help in the search.

Shirlene‘s car was found at a Hertz facility in New Jersey and her phone was found at a bridal store in Manhattan, according to TMZ.

It is not yet known what happened to Shirlene and details are currently unclear about why she has been hospitalized. Her father is currently flying from North Carolina to be by her side.

One of Rihanna‘s former backup dancers, 32-year-old Shirlene Quigley – who has also performed with Beyonce, Missy Elliott, and Jamie Foxx – has been reported missing.

The 28-year-old “Work” singer took to her Instagram on Monday (October 24) to write an emotional message to fans.

“This beautiful soul, and former dancer of mine is MISSING!!!” she captioned a video of Shirlene talking about the importance of loving each other (below). “My heart aches thinking of how heavy this is on all who love her! If anyone has seen or has any information on @shirlenequigley’s whereabouts ….. PLEASE CONTACT the North Bergen Police Department 201 392 2100 !!!!”

“Imagine if we treated each other like we all really came from the same family,” Shirlene says in the video. “I know people probably think I’m crazy because I’m always telling everyone ‘I love you! I love you!’ Because the minute that I meet somebody I do love them because I know in my heart and in my spirit that that’s my brother and my sister, that’s my neighbor. If I make a connection, a relationship whether it be one minute, one year or the rest of my life, if you are in my life, I love you.”

Missy also took to her Instagram to write a plea to fans, adding that “[Shirlene] was last seen Saturday night around 12:55 AM at Port Authority. She was wearing a pink jacket and 3-4 inch heels.”

Shirlene lives alone in North Bergen, New Jersey, and teaches dance, according to her father (via NBC New York). Shirlene reportedly calls him every day around 6 p.m., so he got worried when he hadn’t heard anything. Police found Shirlene‘s phone at a bridal store in Chelsea, New York.

Her father also reported that Shirlene made a strange remark to a friend recently, along the lines of “Get ready, it’s about to happen and I’m going to need you to sub for me.”
