Solange Knowles is all smiles while speaking at the debut of her new site-specific performance Bridge-s held at Getty Center Museum on Monday (November 11) in Los Angeles.

The 33-year-old A Seat at the Table singer celebrated the launch of her series of performances, films, and artist talks called Bridge-s, which explores the themes of “transitions through time” and is powered by Dropbox and Getty in partnership with IAMSOUND.

“Bridge-s is a reflection on how much transition can be controlled and accelerated by our own ideas, thoughts, and movements vs. the natural process of time and space,” Solange said in a statement. “The works chosen to respond to these ideas are dear to me, and by artists, musicians, philosophers and filmmakers I have an immense amount of respect for. I couldn’t be more excited to program works that speak to the core of these themes alongside the Getty Museum.”

Attendees included various tastemakers and celebrities such as Drake, Tyler, The Creator, Dev Hynes (AKA Blood Orange), Syd of the Internet, Lakeith Stanfield, Ebonee Davis and Thundercat.

Solange Knowles and Alan Ferguson have separated.

The 33-year-old A Seat at the Table singer and the 56-year-old music video director have parted ways, Solange confirmed in a message on her Instagram on Friday (November 1).

“the past 2 years have brought me more physical and spiritual transition and evolution than ever before my body left me with no choice but to listen and be still within that stillness i begin my journey in confronting my worst enemy, fear,” she wrote.

“ive lived my best and worst moments in front of the lens and gaze of the world since i was a teenager. ive always tried to live in my truth no matter how ugly or full of love it is. ive also tried to carve out the space to protect my heart, and my life as it unfolds, evolves, and changes. 11 years ago i met a phenomenal man who changed every existence of my life. early this year we separated and parted ways, (and tho it ain’t nan no body business 😭) i find it necessary to protect the sacredness of my personal truth and to live in it fully just as I have before and will continue to do. it is unfair to not have power of your own story as you shape and mold and rewrite it yourself. a n–a ain’t perfect, but im leaning into the fear of the unknown and all the glory and power i know exist within god and the universes grace. may all of your transitions no matter how big or small, be kind to you and filled with incredible love and light!”

Solange and Alan got married back in November of 2014 in New Orleans, Louisiana.

Solange strikes a pose on the cover of the September 2019 issue of L’OfficielUSA that she creative directed, available soon.

Here’s what the 33-year-old entertainer had to say in conversation with hip-hop legend Trina:

On creating: “I feel my most sure and beautiful when I am creating the work. When I am thick in the midst of my own guidance…when I am creating I am using and speaking from other parts of myself. My gut, my legs, my heart, my fingers, my throat. That feels like the best me.”

On her album, When I Get Home: “I wanted to create a bit more of a world with When I Get Home. A mecca that spoke to an environment and an expression. A place that you could go sonically and visually and digitally and feel immersed in as a project about what exactly the process of home is and the feelings behind it…This album was purely about feeling.”

On collaborating: “I find out things about myself that I can’t necessarily speak to when I am collaborating. There are so many facets of who I am, and that articulation just feels so much wider and more expansive when someone helps bring something out of you that you wouldn’t normally express…it can be the most rewarding feeling ever. More importantly, I learn so damn much.”

The 32-year-old singer closed out the fashion show with a performance on Sunday afternoon (June 23) at the AccorHotels Arena in Paris, France.

Solange looked stunning in a black outfit with a floral print along with headpiece and matching bracelets for her performance.

“Composed the musical score for the @kenzo show for my dearest @humberto n @carollim 🖤,” Solange wrote on Instagram after the show.

This show was the final collection designers Humberto Leon and Carol Lim, who announced they would be leaving Kenzo after eight years earlier this month.

Solange Knowles keeps it chic in snakeskin at the 2019 Met Gala held at the Metropolitan Museum of Art on Monday (May 6) in New York City.

The 32-year-old When I Get Home singer rocked a custom Salvatore Ferragamo outfit designed by Paul Andrew, which included a python long sleeve bodysuit with extended lapels and dropped shoulders paired with thigh-high python ‘F wedge’ boots.

Solange accessorized her look with Piaget rings, bracelets and necklace.

The 32-year-old When I Get Home singer hosted Performance Space New York’s 2019 Spring Gala on Saturday (May 4) in New York City.

The performance space was first founded in 1980 and aims to provide “incomparable experiences for audiences by presenting and commissioning artists whose work challenges boundaries of live performance.”

Gala chairs including Humberto Leon, Chloe Sevigny and Michael Stipe were also in attendance at the event, as well as Princess Nokia, who put on a performance.

The honorees at the gala were the galvanizing voices in the fight against AIDS: Ivy Arce, Kia LaBeija, Tourmaline, Jack Waters and Peter Cramer.
