Simon Leviev, the subject of Netflix’s new documentary The Tinder Swindler, is being sued.
According to a new report from People, Israeli Russian diamond tycoon Lev Leviev and his family filed suit against Shimon Hayut, aka Simon Leviev, allegedly impersonating them and using their last name for his own benefit.

Simon Leviev, the subject of Netflix’s new documentary The Tinder Swindler, is telling his side of the story.
Simon has been accused of posing as a wealthy, jet-setting diamond mogul in order to pursue women on Tinder and then allegedly con them out of money.
He was convicted of fraud, forgery and theft in 2019, but only served five months of his 15-month sentence. He reportedly still has warrants out in Europe and has been hiding out in Israel.
Simon is sitting down for a two-part interview with Inside Edition, where he’ll share his thoughts on the way he was portrayed in Netflix’s doc.

The Tinder Swindler, Simon Leviev, has signed with representation.
ET reports that Simon has linked up with talent manager Gina Rodriguez in hopes of expanding his career in entertainment.
