Uber CEO Steps Down from Trump Council, Celebs React

Travis Kalanick has decided that he will step down from President Trump‘s economic advisory council following lots of backlash that included a #DeleteUber campaign.

The Uber CEO faced criticism after the president signed an executive order banning refugees and other immigrants from seven Muslim countries.

“Earlier today I spoke briefly with the president about the immigration executive order and its issues for our community,” Kalanick said in a statement. “I also let him know that I would not be able to participate on his economic council. Joining the group was not meant to be an endorsement of the president or his agenda but unfortunately it has been misinterpreted to be exactly that.”

Celebs like Jaime King and Billy Eichner are speaking out with their thoughts on Kalanick‘s decision. Read below!
