The entertainment agency has released a statement regarding ongoing discussions of the BLACKPINK members’ contract renewal.
If you didn’t know, the massively popular K-pop girl group’s exclusive deals have expired with the agency, and they’re currently in negotiations about whether to renew.

BABYMONSTER is coming!
The members of YG Entertainment‘s first girl group since the debut of BLACKPINK were officially announced on Thursday (May 11), and fans are already excited about what’s to come from the promising group.
As the girl group hopefuls showcased their skills in auditions and performances, their YouTube channel passed a million subscribers in just 52 days since its creation, setting a new K-pop record.
Members of Winner and Blackpink, sibling duo AKMU, dancer and choreographer Leejung Lee, and label founder Yang Hyun-suk all assisted in introducing the group and aiding in the group’s formation.
The group is scheduled to make their debut sometime later in 2023.
