Carrie Underwood @ Grammys 2007
Former American Idol winner Carrie Underwood shimmers on the red carpet in a Badgley Mischka platinum gown at the Grammys on Sunday night.
The 23-year-old country singer picked up two Grammys this evening — Best New Artist and Best Female Country Vocal Performance for “Jesus, Take The Wheel.” She’s the first country artist since LeAnn Rimes to win Best New Arist and edged out Chris Brown, James Blunt, Imogen Heap, and Corinne Bailey Rae. Carrie performed a cover of Bob Wills‘ Western swing classic “New San Antonio Rose,” the classic Eagles track, “Desperado,” and a duet with Rascal Flatts of the Eagles “Life In The Fast Lane.”
