James Galdolfini Autopsy: Heart Attack Confirmed

The results of James Gandolfini‘s autopsy have been finalized on Friday (June 21) in Italy, according to a statement from the family, which reveals that he did die of a heart attack.

“Today we received the results of the autopsy, which stated he died of a heart attack, of natural causes. The autopsy further states that nothing else was found in his system,” a statement from the family read about the late 51-year-old actor.

“We are all devastated by this loss. James was a devoted husband, a loving father of two children, a brother and cousin you could always count on. We thank you for the privacy you have afforded us during this difficult time,” the statement continued.

James is survived by his wife Deborah Lin, their daughter, who was born in October 2012, and his teenage son Michael from his marriage to Marcy Wudarski several years ago.
