'School of Rock' Television Series Has Found Its Jack Black Replacement in Comedian Tony Cavalero!

Nickelodeon’s School of Rock television series has found its Dewey Finn in actor and comedian Tony Cavalero!

The comedian – who regularly performs with The Groundlings in Los Angeles – has taken over the role that Jack Black made famous back in the 2003 film of the same name.

“I am so honored to be part of the rad legacy that is ‘School of Rock,’” Tony said in a statement (via The Wrap). ”Jack Black is one of my biggest comedy influences and I am ready to shred!”

Tony has previously appeared on Modern Family and 2 Broke Girls.

No premiere date has been set as of yet, but the show will have 13 episodes.
