Robert Durst Denied Bail in New Orleans, Odd Items Found in Hotel Room

Robert Durst, who was the subject of HBO documentary The Jinx, has been denied bail at a bond hearing on Monday (March 23) in New Orleans, La.

During the 71-year-old real estate heir’s hearing, it was reported that his New Orleans hotel contained a gun, $44,000 in cash, a fake ID, his real passport, marijuana, a mask, and maps of Cuba, Florida, and New Orleans.

Prosecutors believed that Robert was planning on fleeing to Cuba after examining the items in his hotel room.

If you weren’t aware, Robert was arrested for first degree murder of his friend Susan Berman.
