'Walking Dead' Season 5 Finale Reaches Ratings Record!

The Walking Dead brought in some monstrous ratings for its season five finale this weekend… 15.8 million viewers!

The episode was the highest-rated finale in series history and the full season marked a 9% year-to-year growth in the key adults 18-49 demo. It is expected that the finale will exceed 20 million viewers when time-shifted playback is added in.

What’s even more impressive is that all 16 episodes from this season rank in the top 20 entertainment telecasts in the adults 18-49 demo for this broadcast season.

The Talking Dead after show achieved its highest-rated episode ever with 7.5 million viewers.

    Awesome!!! Not sure if I am right but I don’t think 15.8 million is a new record? Might be. I watched the season 5 finale of course, shoot we’d have to have a real ZA for me to miss any new TWD episodes!!! Finale was the BEST ONE in TWD history if you ask me!!! And LOVED IT WAS 90 minutes!!! Even with the crap load of commercials!

    The Walking Dead is the best show on TV. but if they ever kill Rick, then they kill the show. Andrew Lincoln is AWESOME.
