Jennifer Lawrence has released a statement after being nominated for the Best Actress Oscar for her work in Joy.

Jennifer continued, “Joy is an incredibly inspiring story about an ordinary woman who does extraordinary things. For me, working with David O. she didnt have an oscarworthy performance in Joy she shouldnt be nominated

  • Me Underwears

Don’t say that. She’s american sweetheart. They’ll be on her d*ck because she’s so ”cool” and she’ll be nominated every year even if her performance isn’t oscarworthy

  • Nerdville

    She was great in JOY.

  • Nerdville

No she isn’t americas sweetheart anymore.

NOT, not, not an Oscar-worthy performance. Sorry, it is just NOT.

  • Marie

I have to agree with you. I could not finish watching the movie and I made it half-way. Very disappointed.

  • Me Underwears

I’m guessing she f*cked up a big time

  • badwolf

    i respectfully dont agree
she was great in winter’s bone and good in SLP ( not sure it was oscar worthy either but it was one of her best) but all her other performances have been disappointted for me . she is just the new fav of the academy thats all

I left within 30 minutes. Horrible. Everyone one. Over-the-top fake. Awful. Like a rehearsal.

  • FerCat

Her acting skills were never awards worthy, which shows how much the system is rigged. She barely made a dent as TV actress.

  • Nerdville

She was only americas sweetheart in 2013…

  • Delores Pauldo

Agree with you all. Not looking at Oscars at all. The Oscars sucks.

I don’t think you understand the defintion of America’s Sweetheart. For some reason, she’s it lately. While I liked her in The Hunger Games, her nominations in 2013, 2014 and now in 2016, just make no sense. Those acting roles were so undeserving of the attention and her win was confusing. IMO the only real deserving performance and recognition was Winter Bone.
