President Obama Calls Orlando Shooting an Act of Terror & Hate

President Obama gave his remarks following the tragic shooting that left 50 people dead on Saturday night (June 11) at Pulse nightclub in Orlando, Fla.

The 54-year-old Commander-in-Chief reflected on what is now officially the worst ever mass shooting in the United States.

“We stand with the people of Orlando who have endured a terrible attack on their city. Although it’s still early in the investigation, we know enough to say this was an act of terror and an act of hate.” Obama said at the White House. “As Americans, we are united in grief, in outrage, and resolve to defend our people.”
