'Ghostbusters' Post Credits Scene Explanation - What is Zuul?

SPOILER ALERT – Do not continue reading if you don’t want to know what happens in the Ghostbusters post-credits scene!

The new movie Ghostbusters opens in theaters this weekend and it’s a whole lot of fun for audiences.

Kristen Wiig, Melissa McCarthy, Leslie Jones, and Kate McKinnon lead the cast of the reboot, which also stars Chris Hemsworth and some other great comedians.

Make sure you stay throughout the complete credits sequence as there is a ton of extra content after the movie ends, all the way up to the last second!

While the credits play, Chris leads a dance sequence of all the people who were frozen in the street during the final fight scene.

There’s also a funny scene that features a cameo from Sigourney Weaver. She plays a new member of the Ghostbusters team who works alongside Kate‘s character.

The actual post-credits scene features the four Ghostbuster ladies back at work in their office and playing around with their gadgets. Leslie is seen listening to audio tapes and she hears a strange noise. “What is Zuul?” she asks her co-workers and no one seems to have a clue!

Fans of the Ghostbusters franchise will definitely know what “Zuul” means though!

Zuul is the demi-god who possesses the body of Sigoruney‘s character in the original 1984 movie. This demi-god reportedly only can possess the body of a woman, which will definitely add an interesting factor to the potential sequel.
