Ryan Seacrest Did Not Have a Stroke During 'American Idol' Finale, Rep Confirms

Fans believed Ryan Seacrest may have suffered a medical emergency during last night’s American Idol finale when his eye looked swollen and his speech became slightly slurred.

However, a representative for the 45-year-old TV personality spoke out about these fan concerns, saying, “Ryan did not have any kind of stroke last night. Like many people right now, Ryan is adjusting to the new normal and finding work-home balance, with the added stress of having to put on live shows from home.”

Rumors became even more fueled when Ryan took this morning off from Live with Kelly & Ryan.

The rep continued (via People), “Between Live with Kelly and Ryan, American Idol, On Air with Ryan Seacrest, and the Disney Family Singalong specials, he has been juggling three-four on-air jobs over the last few weeks and he’s in need of rest. So today he took a well-deserved day off.”

You can watch the clip that had fans tweeting their concern. We’re so glad to hear that Ryan is okay and taking a well deserved break today.
