Charli D'Amelio Becomes First Person to Hit 100 Million Followers on TikTok!

Charli D’Amelio is breaking records.

The 16-year-old Internet star became the first-ever person to notch 100 million followers on TikTok as of Sunday (November 22).

According to The Verge, it means she reached 100 million subscribers in record time for any platform: on YouTube, it took 14 years before any channel hit 100 million. Charli started posting to TikTok in May of 2019.

In addition to notching the impressive feat on the social media platform, Charli also launched major collaborations with fashion brands, appeared in a Super Bowl commercial and even had a Dunkin’ Donuts drink named after her in 2020.

Earlier in the week, Charli found herself in the middle of a big controversy after she made rude comments in front of her family’s chef Aaron May in a video, but he since defended the young star. She lost nearly a million followers on TikTok since that video was released, but she quickly rebounded to secure her history-making follower record.
