Queen Elizabeth Breaks Silence on Meghan Markle & Prince Harry's Oprah Interview - Read the Statement

The Palace has finally released a statement about Prince Harry and Meghan Markle‘s bombshell interview, Oprah with Meghan and Harry, after the allegations leveled by the couple on Sunday (March 7).

“The whole family is saddened to learn the full extent of how challenging the last few years have been for Harry and Meghan,” the statement, from Buckingham Palace on behalf of Queen Elizabeth, said (via Huffington Post). “The issues raised, particularly that of race, are concerning. While some recollections may vary, they are taken very seriously and will be addressed by the family privately.”

The statement did not end there. There was also a line included that directly mentioned the three important members of the family.

“Harry, Meghan and Archie will always be much loved family members,” the statement added.

One big racially charged statement from the interview came when Meghan revealed a member of the royals commented on Archie‘s skin tone. We do know which two royals did not make that comment, but it has not been disclosed who it is at this time.
