Busy Philipps Weighs In on Seth Rogen Saying He Won't Work with James Franco Again

Busy Philipps is weighing in on Seth Rogen‘s recent comments about James Franco.

Last month, Seth made headlines when he revealed that he has “no plans” on working with James again amid sexual assault allegations. He also admitted that the allegations has “changed many things” in their relationship.

In a new interview, Busy shared her thoughts on Seth‘s comments.

If you didn’t know, Busy, Seth, and James all starred together in the cult favorite TV series Freaks and Geeks, which ran for one season back in 1999.

While appearing on The Daily Beast‘s The Last Laugh podcast, Busy said she “guessed” she was surprised that Seth isn’t working with James again, adding, “I have to say, I mean, it’s interesting. They were super close, and they had a very tight relationship. And so I don’t have any information.

“I haven’t spent my days doing deep dives into what it all was,” Busy explained. “I didn’t work with James past age 20, so I can only speak to the horrible behavior I experienced.”

In her 2018 memoir, This Will Only Hurt a Little, Busy recalled how James pushed her to the ground while on set of Freaks and Geeks. She said that he was forced by the show’s producer and director to apologize to her.

Also in the interview, Busy said that she wouldn’t “speculate” about Seth and James‘ friendship, but in general, she “wouldn’t want to work with someone who has multiple allegations of predatory behavior.”
