Anna Faris Gets Candid About Her Breast Augmentation & the Decision to Get Work Done

Anna Faris is on the cover of Women’s Health magazine’s May 2018 issue, on newsstands April 17.

Here’s what the 41-year-old actress had to share with the mag:

On her relationship with ex Chris Pratt: “What Chris and I try to do is to communicate openly. We reiterate that there aren’t rules to this. We have a lot of love and friendship, and our big goal is to protect Jack. I cherish my family, my close friends, my child—that makes the rest of it worth it.”

On continuing to believe in love: “I love love! Like all of us, I need a sense of human connection and intimacy. At the end of a workday I feel exposed and kind of raw. I want to be with someone I can confess to, and who can confess to me.”

On getting plastic surgery: “I was always a negative-A cup, so when I was 30, I was getting a divorce [she was married to Ben Indra for four years], I had just finished House Bunny, and I’d sold another movie, all of these new things were happening to me, so I got my breasts done. It was f-cking awesome. I never, ever thought I’d do something like that. I always thought plastic surgery was caving in to ‘the man,’ you know? But it came down to a really simple thing: I wanted to fill out a bikini. What would that feel like? I’m still floored that I did it, because I am a staunch feminist. I kept thinking, Am I betraying my own gender by doing this? I wish that we were more supportive of each other. I think that people should be able to do whatever they want, whether it’s getting braces, bleaching their hair, getting extensions, getting a boob job, getting vaginal surgery, or getting a nose job.”

Dax Shepard Wanted to Ask Out Anna Faris in 2005, But Then This Happened...

Dax Shepard revealed that he wanted to ask out actress Anna Faris back in 2005, before he started his relationship with now wife Kristen Bell!

“I saw Just Friends and was like, ‘You are so talented’ and you and I sat next to each other during a premiere,” Dax said on his podcast, where Anna was a guest. “[I thought] ‘I would definitely like to take this person on a date.’ Then from my point of view, that door was shut. It was like a dead-bolt door.”

“I think my first husband [Ben Indra] may have been sitting to the right of me,” Anna explained in response.

Dax responded, “That would explain a lot.”

Anna Faris & Chris Pratt Had a Hard Time Dealing With Public Reaction to Their Split

Anna Faris‘s split from Chris Pratt garnered a huge response from their fans and it was hard for the former couple to deal with.

The 41-year-old actress says that she was angry that fans thought their relationship had been perfect.

Chris and I did talk about…We got, like on the Twitter feed, ‘Love is dead’ and ‘Relationship goals’…We obviously cultivated something and it was rewarding for a while. It was like ‘People seem to think we got all this s**t all right.’…I had a little bit of a childish feeling of ‘Oh come on, f**king grow up’ — a little anger,” Anna said on Dax Shepard‘s podcast, Armchair Expert.

She continued, “But that’s not fair either because I cultivated it. We intentionally cultivated the idea of like ‘Look at this beautiful family’ and there were so many moments that were like that but like anything on social media, you don’t post ‘Where the f**k is the toilet paper?’ or whatever…I think it’s a very hard forum to be genuine, and I think it does a disservice to people to not be.”

Anna added that she and Chris are doing well following the split.

“We had an unbelievable marriage and we have a great friendship now, we love our son to death… I’m really proud of that,” she concluded.
