Avril Lavigne opens up about her diagnosis and experience with Lyme Disease in the latest issue of People magazine, on newsstands April 3.

Here’s what the 30-year-old entertainer had to share with the mag:

On realizing she had it while in Vegas with friends: “I could barely eat, and when we went to the pool, I had to leave and go lie in bed. My friends asked, ‘What’s wrong?’ I didn’t know. I had no idea a bug bite could do this. I was bedridden for five months. I felt like I couldn’t breathe, I couldn’t talk and I couldn’t move. I thought I was dying.”

On her fans: “They were asking about me since I was MIA, so I mentioned to one fan directly that I wasn’t feeling good. The get-well messages and videos they sent touched me so deeply. I lay in bed watching them and cried so much because I felt loved.”

On her future and feeling “80 percent” better: “This was a wake-up call. I really just want to enjoy life from here on out.”

The 30-year-old singer’s new video features scenes from the upcoming Lifetime movie Babysitter’s Black Book.

“When you turn off the lights/I get stars in my eyes/Is this love/Maybe someday/So don’t turn on the lights/I’ll give you what you like,” Avril sings.

Babysitter’s Black Book will premiere on Lifetime on Saturday (February 21) and features more of Avril‘s music. It’s inspired by true events about teens who start an escort service for dads.

Avril Lavigne took to Twitter to dismiss rumors that she is in rehab!

The 30-year-old singer has been dealing with personal health reasons, but has not disclosed exactly what she is fighting. As a result, false rumors were swirling that she was in rehab or pregnant, which she has also denied.

“The rehab RUMORS are hilarious! The only thing I’m addicted to right now is Bing Crosby. MERRY CHRISTMAS EVERYONE! and to all a goodnight!” Avril tweeted.

Avril Lavigne‘s fans are worried for after she asked them to send her prayers for an undisclosed illness.

The 30-year-old singer was sent a DM by a fan account asking why she hasn’t released a new album in two years.

“I feel bad because I haven’t been able to say anything to the fans to let them no why I’ve been absent. I’m torn as I’m quite private… I’m not feeling well. I’m having some issues. So please keep me in your prayers,” she said to the fan.

Avril‘s rep confirmed to Billboard that the DM is real and said that she is not pregnant.

Chad Kroeger is breaking his silence on the rumors that he and his wife Avril Lavigne are splitting up.

“You know my dad calls me up and he’s just like, ‘I haven’t slept in 2 days, what’s going on?’ I’m like, ‘Dad you’re not buying all this crap are you?’ You know, I get to hear all the rumour mill stuff. I find it very amusing,” the 39-year-old Nickelback frontman told ET Canada.

“When you get out of high school, and it’s like ugh, okay. All that rumor crap. All that stuff that people say behind each other’s backs is minuscule, pales in comparison to the world of celebrity or being married to a celebrity,” Chad added. “That’s high school multiplied exponentially. It’s ridiculous. How many times has Jennifer Aniston been pregnant this year? A dozen?”

“Let’s start a new rumor. I’m pregnant,” he joked.

Avril Lavigne is pretty as can be in hot pink while stepping out to celebrate her 30th birthday at Bank Nightclub at the Bellagio Hotel and Casino on Saturday night (September 27) in Las Vegas.

The now-30-year-old singer flew solo for the event, amid reports that she and husband Chad Kroeger are headed for divorce.

Are Avril Lavigne and Chad Kroeger headed for divorce?

A source close to the couple tells E! News that “The main issue is this: When they met, they were in work mode. They were doing a collaboration and that’s where the attraction stemmed from. She was in the studio and he was producing her. She was also coming off some bad relationships where she didn’t really feel appreciated as an artist. She felt she and Chad connected on that level.”

“The album didn’t do as well as they had hoped…they’re finding that they’re not seeing eye to eye on a lot of things,” the source added. The source says they’ve been “fighting a lot” and “they’re having a lot of issues.”

Other outlets are reporting that Avril and Chad are headed for divorce.

Avril and Chad got engaged after dating for one month back in 2012 and married in July of 2013.
