Elizabeth Banks is talking Charlie’s Angels!

During a recent interview, the 45-year-old actress opened up about the upcoming reboot and why she decided to take it on as a director.

“I went back to the original idea in Charlie’s Angels, which was that women were in the workforce,” Liz shared with Hollywood Reporter. “And all of the things that I feel are happening in the women’s movement right now, whether it be #MeToo, or — I say this in a time of dire straits for women’s rights in this country right now — but I feel like all those things are happening because women are in the workforce in greater numbers than ever in human history.”

Liz continued: “I just wanted to make a movie about women at work, working together. I wanted to make a movie that was not about their boyfriends that they didn’t see enough, or the cats they didn’t feed, or the mother that they didn’t call, because I don’t worry about those things in my daily life. And so, in that way, I felt like we were updating the idea of Charlie’s Angels.”

Kristen Stewart, Naomi Scott, and Ella Balinska are the new Angels and we’ll get to see the movie when it hits theaters on November 1st!

It’s a Charlie’s Angels reunion – and a celebration!

Lucy Liu reunited with Cameron Diaz and Drew Barrymore during her Hollywood Walk Of Fame ceremony on Wednesday (May 1) in Hollywood.

Charlie’s Angels: Full Throttle co-star Demi Moore also showed her support at the event, as well as Rhea Perlman, who spoke at the event. Lucy was also joined by her son, Rockwell Lloyd Liu.

“Sometimes people talk about my mainstream successes as groundbreaking for an Asian, but Asians have been making movies for a long time. They just weren’t making them [in Hollywood] because we weren’t yet invited to the table. If my body of work somehow helped bridge the gap between the stereotypical roles first given to Anna May and mainstream success today, I am thrilled to be part of that process,” Lucy said at the ceremony.

FYI: Demi is wearing a Marco de Vincenzo dress and Christian Louboutin shoes.

The next generation of Charlie’s Angels are coming to the big screen on November 15 and a new batch of photos from the film have been released!

Kristen Stewart, Naomi Scott, and Ella Balinska are the new angels while Elizabeth Banks, who directed the film, plays one of the multiple Bosleys.

Here is the film’s synopsis: “Charlie’s Angels have always provided security and investigative skills to private clients, and now the Townsend Agency has expanded internationally, with the smartest, most fearless, most highly trained women all over the globe – multiple teams of Angels guided by multiple Bosleys taking on the toughest jobs across the world. When a young systems engineer blows the whistle on a dangerous technology, these Angels are called into action, putting their lives on the line to protect us all.”

It’s the first look at Kristen Stewart, Ella Balinska and Naomi Scott as the new Charlie’s Angels!

The three stars posed alongside director Elizabeth Banks in a teaser picture for the upcoming film featured on Entertainment Weekly on Thursday (April 11).

The upcoming movie is said to be “less of a remake of the beloved franchise, but rather a ‘continuation’ that incorporates the events of the original 1970s TV series and the McG-directed 2000s films.”

“It was important to me to make a movie about women working together and supporting each other, and not make a movie about their romantic entanglements or their mother they don’t call enough. When I’m at work, I don’t talk about those things. I get on with my job. It felt important to do that for the Angels, to treat them with the respect their skill set demands,” said Elizabeth.

Filming has wrapped on the upcoming Charlie’s Angels reboot, which is being directed by Elizabeth Banks.

A plot is not yet known, but we do know that there will be multiple Bosleys in the movie. Among them are Elizabeth, Patrick Stewart, and Djimon Hounsou. The cast is rounded out by Sam Claflin and Noah Centineo.

The upcoming Charlie’s Angels reboot is getting pushed back several weeks!

The upcoming film is now set to debut on on November 1, 2019 — five weeks after its original date.

Fans may also notice that it’s the same weekend first Charlie’s Angels movie opened in 2000.

The flick takes the spot previously held by Wonder Woman 1984, which recently got pushed back seven months and will now be released on June 5, 2020.

Charlie’s Angels follows a new next generation of Angels working and stars Kristen Stewart, Naomi Scott and Ella Balinska.

The film also features Sam Claflin, Noah Centineo and will be directed by Elizabeth Banks.

The 28-year-old Personal Shopper actress was spotted shooting an action scene on Friday (October 12) in Hamburg, Germany.

She wore a colorful animal-printed top with black pants and boots, holding a prop gun as she ran down the street.
