Former San Francisco 49ers quarterback Colin Kaepernick is seemingly confirming that he did not speak with Travis Scott, who is performing at the 2019 Super Bowl halftime show.

If you don’t know, Travis was announced as one of the performers at the halftime show and in exchange, required the NFL make a donation to a social justice charity.

Later, Variety published a report saying that Colin and Travis spoke before he accepted the gig, saying “they emerged from the conversation with mutual respect and understanding, with the rapper taking the stance that everyone makes a statement in their own way and he felt that the money going toward Dream Corps, combined with the platform provided by the Super Bowl, will do some good.”

Colin retweeted several tweets saying this conversation never happened, including one by his friend Ebro Darden, saying, “Kap did not approve this bullsh*t! Get the f*ck outta here….”

Colin has not played in the NFL since he partook in a peaceful protest of kneeling during the National Anthem.

Rihanna is standing by Colin Kaepernick.

The 30-year-old singer was reportedly offered to headline the 2019 Super Bowl Halftime Show, but turned it down because she “supports” the 30-year-old former NFL player.

“The NFL and CBS really wanted Rihanna to be next year’s performer in Atlanta,” Us Weekly reports. “They offered it to her, but she said no because of the kneeling controversy. She doesn’t agree with the NFL’s stance.”

Colin was the first pro football player to kneel during the national anthem in protest of police brutality and racial inequality. He has not played in the NFL since starting the controversy back in 2016.

Maroon 5 is set to headline the 2019 Super Bowl Halftime performance on February 3 in Atlanta, Ga.

The 30-year-old former San Francisco 49ers quarterback is featured in a new two-minute ad called “Dream Crazy,” which showcases different athletes overcoming various forms of adversity.

“Don’t ask if your dreams are crazy, ask if they’re crazy enough,” Colin says in the inspirational ad.

Colin has not played in an NFL game since 2016 after he took a stand and began kneeling during the National Anthem to protest racial inequality in America. Other players on all teams have joined Colin in kneeling during the anthem and the topic has become one of President Trump‘s main talking points. The president has demanded that players who kneel be fired.

The powerful ad features the former NFL quarterback’s face with these words printed over the photo: “Believe in something, even if it means sacrificing everything. #JustDoIt.”
