Ally Brooke is giving fans an update on James Van Der Beek after he was shockingly eliminated from Dancing With the Stars during the semi-finals episode.

James and Ally were in the bottom two and all three judges voted to save her, but then she tried to give up her spot, though was denied by producers. That evening, James revealed the emotional news that he and his wife lost the baby they were expecting just days earlier.

“[We’re] texting back and forth,” she told Us Weekly. “He’s just the sweetest. He’s such an encourager and an amazing human being. He’s just a remarkable man.”

“James was so wonderful. He’s like, ‘Girl, you shine and go enjoy this and go shine,’” she added. “So I took that with me, but, you know, I did work so hard to get here, and it’s not been easy and I’m very, very thankful to be in the finale. I hoped I would be and the fact that I’m in the finale is unbelievable!”

Carrie Ann Inaba, one of the judges on Dancing with the Stars, voted out James Van Der Beek after he and his wife Kimberly announced they had suffered a miscarriage. Kimberly almost lost her life as a result.

The judge said that it was a hard decision, especially after the announcement.

“As a human being, what he and his wife Kimberly suffered is heartbreaking and I have so much sadness in my heart for them and my prayers are with them. But, you know, this is when it’s really hard is that, as a judge, I have to judge the dance,” Carrie Ann revealed to People.

Still, the decision weighed on her.

“I went home and I vomited,” Carrie Ann said of having to choose to vote out James.

The decision for the judges came down to voting out James, or voting out Ally Brooke. Ultimately, James was voted out and Ally will compete in Monday’s finals.

James Van Der Beek tearfully revealed on last night’s Dancing With the Stars that he and his wife Kimberly have lost the baby that they were expecting.

Kimberly later said on Instagram that she almost died over the weekend and that the baby was going to be a boy.

After the show, James posted about the devastating news on his Instagram page and many celebs have left comments to express their love and support for him and his family.

“Thank you to all of our friends and co-workers (and dance partners) who have shown up for us so beautifully during this time. As many of you have said, ‘There are no words…’ and it’s true. Which is why in a time like this it’s enough to know that you’re there. Grieving AND counting our blessings today,” James wrote on Instagram.

Kimberly Van Der Beek is thanking fans for all the love after she and her husband James revealed they suffered a miscarriage.

The 37-year-old actress took to her Instagram story speak out about the unfortunate situation and James‘ elimination from Dancing With The Stars.

“Thank you everyone for all the love…In 48 hours we lost our baby, a boy, and I almost lost my life, which is not a story that has been told. But at some point I can dig into the details about what happened in the emergency room,” Kimberly explained.

She added, “And James got eliminated from Dancing With The Stars. I’m pretty shocked. It is worth noting that Ally [Brooke] is a beautiful dancer and we love her…and she tried to giver her spot to James, she tried quitting the show. Little angel!”

The 42-year-old actor and Kimberly shared their pregnancy news just last month. He tearfully opened up about the tragic news on Dancing With the Stars on Monday night (November 18).

James said that he didn’t think he’d be able to dance tonight, but Kimberly wanted him to perform.

“My wife Kimberly and I went through every expecting parents’ worst nightmare. We lost a baby. The little soul we had expected to welcome into our family took a shortcut to whatever lies beyond,” James said in the package before his second dance. “You never know why these things happen. That’s what I’ve been telling my kids. All you know is that it brings you closer together. It break you open. It opens up your heart. It deepens your appreciation. It makes you more human. I really didn’t think I’d be dancing tonight, but Kimberly from her hospital bed, said to me, ‘I am not done watching you dance.’ Kimberly, I love you.”

James, who has said he doesn’t believe in the word “miscarriage,” is the father of five children with Kimberly.

“We’re dancing to ‘Take Me to Church’ by Hozier, which is all about human connection that is so strong that it’s out of control, that it’s scary, that it rocks your soul. And that song is taking on a whole new meaning for me. When words fail, you sing. When there are no words, you dance. And that’s what I’m going to do. Kimberly, I’m dancing for you, I’m dancing for us,” he added.

James Van Der Beek is the second star tonight to receive a perfect score on Dancing With the Stars!

The 42-year-old actor and his partner Emma Slater performed a contemporary dance for the latest episode of the dancing competition series on Monday (November 4).

James did some incredibly difficult moves and lifts throughout the performance and the judges rewarded him with a perfect 30 out of 30 points.

Since James‘ combined scores for the entire season were higher than any other contestant, he was immune from the dance-offs this week and immediately earned an extra 2 points on the leaderboard.

James Van Der Beek was SO close to being the first contestant on Dancing With the Stars to get a 10 this season, but he had a tiny mistake that cost him the extra point.

The 42-year-old actor performed a Viennese Waltz with partner Emma Slater during the special Halloween episode on Monday (October 28) in Los Angeles.

James‘ dance was set to the tune of Annie Lennox‘s song “I Put a Spell On You.” He received 27 out of 30 points due to the one minor slip-up during his performance.

The judges all pointed out how James appeared to slip at one point and he said he slipped on the fog.
