Every year, the stars nominated for awards at the Oscars gather for a celebratory luncheon ahead of the show and 2023′s event just took place!

Tom Cruise, Austin Butler, Cate Blanchett, and Michelle Yeoh were just some of the nominated celebs in attendance at the 2023 Oscars Nominees Luncheon on Monday afternoon (February 13) at The Beverly Hilton in Beverly Hills, Calif.

Out of the acting nominees, 17 out of 20 nominated stars showed up for the event with Blonde‘s Ana de Armas, To Leslie‘s Andrea Riseborough, and The Banshees of Inisherin‘s Barry Keoghan not in attendance.

Justin Hurwitz is suing his former talent agency, WME, after he says they cheated him out of profits from live performances of the La La Land score.

The 36-year-old film composer won two Oscars for his work on the movie musical, along with two Golden Globes and two Grammys.

The lawsuit alleges that WME approached Justin to create a live La La Land show following the success of the movie. The show would feature an orchestra performing the film’s score while the movie played on the big screen. The film’s producer Lionsgate licensed the show to Columbia Artists Management for five major cities and gave rights to the rest of the world to WME.

Ryan Gosling is looking handsome as always!

The 38-year-old First Man star was in attendance at the 2019 Critics’ Choice Awards on Sunday (January 13) at the Barker Hangar in Santa Monica, Calif.

Inside the event, Ryan posed with First Man co-star Claire Foy.

Director Damien Chazelle posed with wife Olivia Hamilton, who also stars in the movie, on the red carpet. Justin Hurwitz, who composed the film’s music, won Best Score during the ceremony.

FYI: Ryan is wearing a Dior tux. Damien is wearing a Gucci tux, Christian Louboutin shoes, and Montblanc cufflinks. Olivia is wearing a Paolo Sebastian dress, Sophia Webster heels and carrying a Tyler Ellis clutch.

Claire Foy stuns on the red carpet as she arrives at the BAFTA Tea Party on Saturday afternoon (January 5) at the Four Seasons Hotel in Beverly Hills, Calif.

The 34-year-old The Crown star went chic in a silk dress as she was joined at the event by fellow actresses Thandie Newton, Caitriona Balfe, and Dina Shihabi.

Claire was also joined on the red carpet by her sister Gemma while her former The Crown co-star Jared Harris and her First Man composer Justin Hurwitz.

Damien Chazelle happily poses alongside his wife Olivia Hamilton and composer Justin Hurwitz while attending the Education Through Music-Los Angeles and Griffith Observatory special screening of their film First Man held on Thursday (November 29) in Los Angeles.

Variety recently reported that Netflix is set to join the production team on the La La Land Oscar-winning director’s upcoming Paris-set musical drama, The Eddy.

Atlantique Productions will executive produce while Damien directs two episodes of the series, in addition to executive producing.

The Eddy “will revolve around a club, its owner, the house band, and the chaotic city that surrounds them. The show will feature dialogue in French, English and Arabic.”

The trio was joined by co-star (and Damien‘s wife) Olivia Hamilton and the film’s composer Justin Hurwitz.

The reception and Q&A was also for Discovery’s Above And Beyond: NASA’s Journey to Tomorrow and that film’s director Rory Kennedy was in attendance as well.

Both films are about space travel!

Claire is currently in the Big Apple while she prepares to host this weekend’s new episode of Saturday Night Live.

Justin Hurwitz, who wrote the score for the movie, won the Hollywood Composer Award.

Ryan previously worked with Damien on the movie musical La La Land.

The Hollywood Film Awards marks the kick off to awards season, which will end with the Oscars in February.
