Ryan Phillippe and his longtime love Paulina Slagter have split after five years together, according to Us Weekly.

The 42-year-old Shooter actor was engaged to Paulina after proposing to her over Christmas last year. They made their red carpet debut as a couple back in May 2012 in Beijing.

Paulina recently graduated from Stanford Law School with her doctorate.

Ryan is the father of three kids – Ava, 17, and Deacon, 13, with ex-wife Reese Witherspoon, as well as five-year-old daughter Kai with ex-girlfriend Alexis Knapp.

Earlier this week, Ryan stepped out to celebrate Halloween at Just Jared’s annual party.

The 41-year-old actor and his fiancee were also recently spotted enjoying a walk around Runyon Canyon in Hollywood.

That same Friday, Ryan took to Instagram to pay tribute to the late Coen Brothers movies actor Jon Polito, who just passed away.

“the great character actor, Jon Polito passed away last night,” Ryan wrote along with a pic he posted. “i loved his work, he was so fun to watch. rest in peace, sir.”
