Grand Central Publishing, which is a division of Hatchette, announced they will publish Woody‘s book, Apropos of Nothing, on April 7.

“Hachette, my publisher, acquired Woody Allen’s memoir after other major publishers refused to do so and concealed the decision from me and its own employees while we were working on Catch and Kill—a book about how powerful men, including Woody Allen, avoid accountability for sexual abuse. I’ve also told Hachette that a publisher that would conduct itself in this way is one I can’t work with in good conscience,” he wrote on Twitter.

“My sister Dylan has never been contacted to respond to any denial or mischaracterization of the abuse she suffered at the hands of Woody Allen—a credible allegation maintained for almost three decades, backed up by contemporaneous accounts and evidence,” he went on to say.

“I’ve encouraged Hachette, out of respect for its readers, authors and reputation, to conduct a thorough fact check of Woody Allen’s account, in particular any claim that implies my sister is not telling the truth.”

Woody Allen has maintained his innocence amid allegations of abusing his daughter, Dylan. Here’s what she said about the book…

During the event, Matt opened up to The Hollywood Reporter about changing the direction of his career and said he had to “un-brand” himself from just starring in romantic comedies.

“I took off, and had an un-branding phase. Not a re-branding phrase, an un-branding phase,” Matt recalled after the birth of his son Levi in 2008. “I said, ‘I’m out.’”

“That anonymity, that being away, that not being the shirtless guy on the beach in a rom-com, by un-branding, then all of a sudden things came to me that I had been wanting to do,” Matt added. “Dramatic roles that I had been pursuing were coming my way.”

Other stars in attendance included Trevor Noah, journalist Ronan Farrow, activist Gloria Steinem, Top Chef host Padma Lakshmi, and tennis icon Billie Jean King.

If you missed it, Matt is trying to set up his mom with this actor’s dad!

Ronan Farrow Explains Why He & Fiance Jon Lovett Haven't Started Planning Their Wedding Yet

Ronan Farrow is putting wedding preparations on the back burner.

The 31-year-old journalist and author shared in a new interview that he and fiance Jon Lovett are both “swamped with work” haven’t had time to start planning their wedding yet.

“[We] have not done one iota of planning,” Ronan shared with People. “The conversation so far has been only to assess whether it’s even possible to plan something for next year, given Jon’s anticipated level of business with the election cycle.”

Ronan and Jon announced their engagement last month. The two have been together since 2011.

“We will get there,” Ronan added. “We’ve committed to it publicly now.”

Ronan Farrow Is Engaged to Writer Jon Lovett

Ronan Farrow has revealed in his new book “Catch and Kill” that he is engaged to boyfriend Jon Lovett.

If you aren’t aware, Jon is a former speechwriter for President Barack Obama. He worked for the president during his first term and moved on to write for the comedy series 1600 Penn and HBO’s The Newsroom. He currently hosts the podcast Pod Save America.

In the book, Ronan revealed that he used a draft of his book as his way to pop the question.

“Later, when I decided some of that reporting would make its way into a book, I’d send him a draft, and put in a question, right on this page: ‘Marriage?’” Ronan wrote (via E! News). “On the moon or even here on earth. He read the draft, and found the proposal here, and said, ‘Sure.’”

Ronan met Jon shortly after he “left his job as a presidential speechwriter.”

Ronan Farrow Says NBC News Ordered 'Hard Stop' to Harvey Weinstein Reporting

Ronan Farrow is accusing NBC of secret payouts and cover-up attempts.

The Catch & Kill: Lies, Spies and a Conspiracy to Protect Predators author spoke about the allegations on Good Morning America on Friday (October 10).

According to Ronan, NBC News ordered a “hard stop to reporting” on Harvey Weinstein.

“They told me and a producer working on this that we should not take a single call, they told us to cancel interviews. The question for years has been, why? Because every journalist at that institution didn’t understand why. And I think the book answers that question. This was a company with a lot of secrets,” he said.

“They halted reporting and this book explains why. It is indisputable based on the evidence in this book that there was a chain of secret settlements at this company that were covered up with victims of harassment and assault. Some of them about [Matt] Lauer, some of them about others in the company. This was a pattern; it was concealed from journalists there. This is bigger than NBC, it’s bigger than these executives. These are not highly public figures. The reason this reporting was important is because this is a pattern in media, in law, in politics; institutions that conceal abuse of this type let people get hurt and that’s something we should all care about.”
