Orphan Black's Tatiana Maslany Reacts to First Emmy Nom!

Tatiana Maslany was nominated for her first ever Emmy Award on Thursday morning and she is reacting to the honor.

The 29-year-old actress, who was snubbed for the last two years for her critically-acclaimed performance on Orphan Black, finally received a nod in the Lead Actress in a Drama category.

“I didn’t even expect it at all,” Tatiana told Variety. “It’s super nice, and it feels like a nice thing for the show to get that kind of recognition, and for the fans — they’ve been so supportive and protective of us; it feels like a communal thing.”

“It’s crazy,” Tatiana added of the online support. “That’s why I feel it’s not for me this nomination happened; it’s for our fans, because they’re the ones who are fighting for people to watch the show and have championed it in such a huge way. I feel so supported and so loved. It’s totally crazy to me that anyone cares if I get a nomination — it’s pretty wild.”

'Orphan Black' Will Most Likely End After Season Five

It has only been a few days since the third season of Tatiana Maslany‘s hit show Orphan Black premiered, but it seems there is already a series finale date in sight.

Series co-creator John Fawcett just opened up to E! News about his plans to end the show after five seasons.

“The series is mapped to a large degree, in that there is always room to move and work organically, but we are working towards a five season story,” John said. “We will arrive at some kind of end destination by the end of season five.”

“I think we want to wrap this story up by the end of season five,” he continued. “And then if there are still a lot of fans and a lot of desire to see this show after that, I think there would be some reinvention necessary or some kind of new spin. I don’t know what that is or could be. I’m not really thinking about that right now, I’m just thinking about trying to get this story told in five seasons.”

ARE YOU SAD that there might only be five seasons of Orphan Black?

Orphan Black's Tatiana Maslany Never Wanted Fame & Struggles With It

Tatiana Maslany is stunning on the cover of Flare magazine’s April 2015 issue, out on newsstands now!

Here’s what the 29-year-old actress had to share with the mag:

On her first super-lonely months in New York City: “It was horrible. I cried all the time from the shock of being alone in my apartment with only two pieces of Ikea furniture.”

On learning she got Orphan Black: “I was just pounding the pavement, so excited and shocked, and then it sunk in, and I was like, How am I going to do this? I can’t do this. There is no way. I’d never led a series before either, so that was scary. I still have days where I’m like, I don’t know how I’m even going to do this, but it’s fun to have that sense of not knowing.”

On the perils of fame: “I never wanted fame. I’ve never sought it out. I struggle with the whole awards idea. It feeds into this thing that I never thought to be a part of or felt a part of. I just want to work with good directors and cool characters.”
