Tina Fey & Amy Poehler Joke About Golden Globes Gigs at NBC Upfronts

Tina Fey and Amy Poehler appear on stage during the 2019 NBC Upfronts presentation on Monday morning (May 13) at Radio City Music Hall in New York City.

The funny ladies walked on stage and joked that they were at the 150th Golden Globes, before lamenting how awards shows don’t really need hosts anymore. The duo hosted the show in 2013, 2014, and 2015.

Ted Danson, Seth Meyers, Rami Malek, and Rosario Dawson are among the other stars who presented on stage in front of an audience full of advertisers.

Lilly Singh was at the event to promote her upcoming late night show.

Emma Thompson is celebrating Mother’s Day on Saturday Night Live!

The 60-year-old actress and host was joined by SNL alums Tina Fey and Amy Poehler during her opening monologue on Saturday night (May 11).

The ladies then went on to explain and decode some famous “mom phrases.”

For example, “I just to relax in the backyard this weekend,” really means: “Where does one buy weed?”

Emma then addedthat when a British mom says, “splendid,” what she really means is, “I’m sad. I’m happy. How are you? You embarrass me. I’m crazy. You’re drunk.”

Amy Poehler Steps Out in a Leather Jacket in NYC!

Amy Poehler is all smiles in New York City!

The 47-year-old actress was spotted in a black leather jacket and Bordeaux boots while leaving a studio on Friday (May 10) in NYC.

The comedian recently made her directorial debut with Wine Country, in which she also stars, alongside fellow Saturday Night Live alums Maya Rudolph, Rachel Dratch, Ana Gasteyer, and Tina Fey.

“I had been excitedly thinking and talking and looking to direct a feature, and then like most good things, it happened a little organically,” she told Indie Wire of the film’s origins. “We were on our own trip, and I turned to Emily Spivey, who ended up writing the script with Liz Cackowski, and I said, ‘This could be a movie.’ And I just forced deadlines on people until it became one.”

Wine Country is streaming now on Netflix.

Tina Fey & Ellie Kemper Joined By Jon Hamm at 'Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt' Screening!

Tina Fey hits the stage alongside Ellie Kemper and Tituss Burgess while attending the special screening and Q&A for their hit series Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt held at SAG Foundation Screening Room on Wednesday (April 8) in New York City.

The trio were also joined by co-stars Jon Hamm, Jane Krakowski, Carol Kane and Tina‘s co-creator Robert Carlock.

During the event, Tina announced that an all-new interactive Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt special is set to debut on Netflix in 2020.

“We’re thrilled to announce that we’re about to start production on an all-new Interactive Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt special, set to debut on Netflix in 2020,” Tina said. “Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt was one of the first original comedy series on Netflix, and now it will be its first interactive comedy event. Fans will be able to make choices on behalf of our characters, taking different story paths with, of course, different jokes. I think it’s a great fit for our show and will be a great way to officially complete the series.”

Amy Poehler suits up for the premiere of Wine Country on Wednesday night (May 8) at the Paris Theatre in New York City.

The 47-year-old actress was joined at the premiere of her directorial debut by co-stars Tina Fey, Maya Rudolph, Rachel Dratch, Paula Pell, Ana Gasteyer, Emily Spivey, and Jason Schwartzman.

Guests at the premiere included Seth Meyers and Amber Tamblyn along with Veep cast members Tony Hale, Anna Chlumsky, Matt Walsh, and Sam Richardson.

'Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt' Is Getting an Interactive Netflix Special!

Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt fans have something new to look forward to!

Following the end of the show’s four-season run, the show will return with an interactive special in 2020, Netflix announced on Wednesday (May 8).

The special will include series regulars like Ellie Kemper, Tituss Burgess, Jane Krakowski and Carol Kane, and is said to be similar in style to Black Mirror‘s “Bandersnatch” episode, where viewers can make choices for the characters.
