'The Lego Movie' Crushes Box Office Competition for Third Consecutive Week
The Lego Movie continued to smash the box office numbers with a $31.5 million gross this weekend!
According to THR, the flick, which stars the voices of Chris Pratt, Will Ferrell, Elizabeth Banks, Will Arnett, Liam Neeson, and Morgan Freeman, pushed its domestic total to $183.2 million!
Kevin Costner‘s new thriller 3 Days to Kill came in at No. 2 with a modest $12.3 million opening.
Taking third place was Pompeii, which stars Kit Harington, Carrie-Anne Moss, and Emily Browning, and brought in $10 million, compared to its $100 million budget.
Rounding out the top five were Sony’s RoboCop reboot, starring Joel Kinnaman, Abbie Cornish, and Samuel L. Jackson, and George Clooney‘s star-studded film The Monuments Men, bringing in $9.4 million and $8.1 million, respectively.
