Demi Lovato Takes Over for Katy Perry as Voice of Smurfette!
Demi Lovato has some exciting news – she just joined the cast of the upcoming, fully computer animated film Get Smurfy!
The 22-year-old entertainer will be voicing the role of Smurfette, which was previously voiced by Katy Perry in the last two theatrical films that mixed live action and animation.
Mandy Patinkin will play Papa Smurf and Rainn Wilson will voice the role of the evil wizard Gargamel.
The film “will follow Smurfette and her fellow blue creatures as they search the Enchanted Forest for the fabled Smurfs village. The film will answer some long-held questions about the Smurfs, including why there’s only one girl among them,” according to Variety.
The movie will hit theaters on March 31, 2017. Watch the video announcement below!
