'American Idol' Summer Tour Canceled for Final Season

The top stars on American Idol‘s final season will not get the opportunity to tour the country.

For the last fourteen years, audiences around the United States got the chance to watch the finalists on the Fox competition series perform live during the summer tour. The first thirteen seasons saw the top ten singers get the chance to go on the tour while last year’s tour was cut down to the top five.

“The American Idol Live Tour has historically been an integral part of celebrating the seasons’ contestants and also garnering excitement for summer auditions for the upcoming season,” CORE media, the parent company of Idol‘s 19 Entertainment, said in a statement (via Billboard). “This year’s Idol finale celebrates the past 15 seasons, the amazingly talented participants, and the millions of fans who’ve helped make American Idol the legendary program and brand it is today. It will be so memorable and meaningful and we’ve chosen to end it on that note.”

ARE YOU SAD that there will be no American Idol tour this year?
