Brie Larson is decked out in a blue and red suit while making her way inside the Good Morning America studios on Wednesday (March 6) in New York City.

The 29-year-old actress opened up about playing the first solo female Marvel superhero in the new Captain Marvel movie, and talked about the another female icon she wanted to be as a kid.

“I wanted to be Princess Leia,” Brie revealed. “[When] I was probably 8-years-old, I bought a shirt that was for like maybe my size now because I was going to play her at some point.”

“I kept it in my closet,” Brie added. “I’m sure my mom has it in the garage somewhere.”

Brie also talked about working with her acting icons, Annette Bening, in the film, which hits theaters Friday: “We have really long scenes together in this movie, so you get to play scene partners with somebody who is just incredible,” Brie said.
